Scheduling a Recodring
Is there such a program that will log on to a site at a specific time, record something, save it to a file and then close? If not can anyone recommend a scheduler or macro program which might do this in conjumction with say Total Recorder 5 Professional? Total Recorder will do that. Unless I misunderstand your query. The scheduler allows you to put in the time start and finish, the url to start the stream, and other parameters. P. Re: Re[4]: Reading V U Meters In Total Recorder
Hi, When you install total recorder, you are given the choice to install its software driver. I chose no, or uncheck the box so it isn't installed and have no conflicts whatever. When I let the driver install, winamp will no longer play songs with an invalid sound driver message. Without the software driver installed, chose the soundboard option while setting up your recordings and total recorder is a gem to use. Problem After Upgrading to Nero 7
Are there any access problems within Nero 7? I've been using Nero 6 for a good while now, and decided to upgrade to Nero 7 this past weekend. Now that Nero 7 is installed, I can't seem to access the menu choices in Nero Burning ROM without having to use the JAWS Cursor. JFW says "menu bar", but it doesn't speak the menu at all when I down-arrow through the choices. I didn't have any problem like this in Nero 6. Is there something I need to change in Nero 7 to get everything to speak correctly without the JAWS Cursor always having to be used? Is anyone else having this kind of problem? Please forgive me if this has already been discussed, but I've been off of the list for a good while now. Thanks in advance. Re: Problem After Upgrading to Nero 7
Hi brian, Unfortunately this is a case of a company trying to fix what wasn't broke and any of us who downloads nero 7 pays the price. They changed the interface and this alteration trashed the accessibility of the program. If you still have nero 6, uninstall nero 7 and put that back on. That's the only fix for the inaccessibility problems you're having. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful. Re: Scheduling a Recodring
Replay radio will, you actually want replay AV from www.replay-av.com. Using stream capture, you don't have to hear it recording, but you get the file in whatever format they streamed in, usually asf. Now I need a converter to make wave or mp3 out of that as asf's don't get loud enough because I can't use winamp dsp's on them. - Original Message - From: "Andrea Sherry" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "PC Audio" Sent: Monday, January 30, 2006 2:07 AM Subject: Scheduling a Recodring > Is there such a program that will log on to a site at a specific time, > record something, save it to a file and then close? Re: cool edit
Hi Michael Unfortunately I'm not on Skype - I think I'll have to move onto something like that soon but I've not investigated it yet. Where are you based? Perhaps a phone call would be possible. as far as I understand your question I think the way to do this is to go into the multitrack mode, load your instrumental file into tracks one and two (assuming it's stereo). Unless you've a complicated set of outputs on your soundcard it's probably that all the tracks will be outputting to the same channel, so your instrumental tracks will come through along with the track you're about to record, let's say, track 3. Assuming you're using the Jaws scripts, when you go into multitrack mode (view menu toggle between it and edit view), you should choose track 3 by arrowing down to it. When on it you then use the tab key to go through a series of options, e.g. mute, arm, output, input, etc. When you arrive on 'Arm' just press enter - jaws should not only tell you when you'reon the arm setting, but when you press enter on it it will change from 'no' to 'yes'. You can now record on that track while listening to all three tracks through the output on your soundcard. Of course you'll only get sound from the microphone if you've set the input to the correct soundcard input and switched on the microphone option on the volume settings. (For this see Control Panel, Sounds, the audio tab, record volume settings - you need to tab round here to microphone and select the microphone as your recording device. Just tick the select box.) Just use the standard record functions to make this work - control and space and control and s to stop. Playing as usual is just with the space bar. Hopefully I'm not telling you what you know already. Hope this helps. Regards. Gordon - Original Message - From: "Michael Babcock" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "PC audio discussion list. Re: cool edit
Hi Michael Just one more thought. I notice you're using Cool Edit - the instructions I gave you in the last email were for Audition 1.5 (the latest upgrade of Cool Edit.) Although the speech works similarly in both, there may be some features in Audition you cannot get with Cool Edit. Things should be fairly similar and I think that for what you want to do they are the same. But be aware that some things might be just a little different. If you've followed the instructions which come in the txt files in the scripts, you should notice that you have to train the Screen Reader when in Multitrack view for the first time - I think the keypress is control and T, but I may be wrong. >From what I remember when I used Cool Edit nothing really got spoken until this was done. When you do as I've suggested in my other email you should hear things fairly clearly and find that things are fairly intuitiev when you are tabbing and arrowing. Regards. Re: .avi to dvd format
Hi Kevin The program I use a lot to convert avi to mpg files for DVD is TMPGenc Express3 which has recently been taken over by Tsunami and I think relaunched with little chang. There are a range of programs in this series, but this program changes the filetypes and gives a professional finish. En route you can place filters etc. on the file to improve it. You can also do editing, removing unwanted bits etc. Have a look at the website www.tmpg-inc.con It will let you see tmpgenc and tsunami products. Most are fairly accessible for Jaws and don't need too much jaws cursoring. Reading the manual shows the keypresses which are good when navigating the file in order to cut and set chapters. The program has a 30 day download trial time so you can try them out first. If you wish to try DVD author (normal or pro) this again is quite accessible in most bit with a bit of fiddling in one or two places, but it does not convert the files. It takes what you output from TMPGenc Express 3. (or the Tsunami equivalent) The Tsunami programs are more accessible in some places but the main chapter, cut and edit window can sometimes be difficult to get into - a script would be invaluable here. (When I learn how to do this Ill post it.) However once in this window then everything's available for use by the blind. I've tried a lot of programs and so far this is probably the best for accessibility - it's not perfect but with a bit of effort it will do a fair job, and of course it's seen by many as a simple but professional tool. I don't know what you lot are moaning about. Win MX isn't even legal. Let's be honest, for a long time we all got lots of good music for nothing. So what the interface isn't 100 percent accessible? Re: Problem After Upgrading to Nero 7
Hi Brian, If you weren't having any problems, why the upgrade? R Q J - Original Message - From: "Brian Hansen" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: Sent: Monday, January 30, 2006 3:48 PM Subject: Problem After Upgrading to Nero 7 Are there any access problems within Nero 7?
