Jaws and sound blaster live
Hi All, Sorry for the cross posting, but I need some help fast. I've just upgraded from win98 to XP pro. I knew there was an issue with jaws and the sound blaster platinum live card, in that it crackles when refreshing a screen. I also believe there is a fix on the FS site for it, but it also disables allot of the features of the card including the digital out only setting? This is important as I do not have analogue connections for it. I have a second card on board, how do I reassign jaws to use this card and all other audio to use the SB live? Have things moved on at all, is there a new fix I don't know about? Dave, The following approach worked for me with a' Sound Blaster Live Edition' after migrating from 'Window 98 Second Edition' to "Windows XP Home". Go to the following address and select the operating system and soundblaster card from the lists. You'll get a list of files to download, you just need the drivers. http://www.asia.creative.com/support/drivers/ Then open the attached zip file, read the readme for instructions on how to run the included program. I went to that link, while it did not cut out all together, it started studdering every few seconds. I guess that was trying to cut out. I don't like media player, but apparently on some things one has to use it. a problem in internet express.
My daughter has a weird problem. She is running window 95, with jaws 3.7, and internet explorer 5. She has an unusual problem. Something happens to make work on offline. When she tries to bring up a site, it comes back and says that she if offline, and there is not any connection, to click on the try again button, so she tabs once, and presses enter on the try again button, and then it will go to her site. Then it will stay on line untill she reboots. It she goes into outlook express first, then tries to go to a site, it will work fine. In either case once it is online, it will stay that way untill she reboots the computer. Does anybody have any idea what this problem is, and you help me. I have already tried repairing internet explorer, and clearing all of the temprary files out, and then it will work for a little while, and then it will start all over again with this off line stuff. m-audio fw 4 x 10
Hi There Listers, Just bought the M-Audio firewire 4x10 soundcard and I have sound playing through it via both headphone sockets. Could someone on the list direct me to, or give me a description of the back and front panels as I'm without sighted assistance for the moment. The FM transmitter revisited one more time.
Hi folks! Well, I purchased the transmitter from Ccrane, and it seems to be working well. Someone had a tip on the list about making the signal a little stronger, and I deleted the message, by mistake. There is a screw somewhere on the transmitter that you're supposed to turn. Hello Doc, Thank you for telling me how to do the time on the CD album I am trying to record on to a CDR, I've just check the time and it is 77,39. Surely this will fit on the CDR 80 minute? Hi, There is a thick plastic label on the bottom. It has one corner cutoff. One can take a screwdriver and very gently peal the label about half way back. Underneath are three holes. The pot that you want to adjust is inside the largest of the three. Turn it gently as far as it will go to the right. Be very careful as this pot is easily broken. you have to peel off a label on the back of the transmitter, and the screw is hidden underneath. this system effectively allows you to have an illegally powerful transmitter, and c crane doesn't tell you how to do it.At 12:43 PM 05/08/2004, you wrote: Hi folks! Hi Mike, Kathy Arnold here. I have that same FM transmiter. It's a very small hole for the screw. The screw is plastic. You have to be very careful when adjusting it. I attempted doing it, but I don't have the right size screwdriver. There are 3 holes. One hole is by itself, and there are 2 holes together. It's the hole by itself that needs adjusting. Hi there. First you do a control c, to copy to the clipboard, or the harddrive. Then, after your CD is copied to the harddrive, then you put a blank CD into your player/recorder, then copy from the harddrive to the CD. The FM transmitter has nothing to do with the keyboard. The FM transmitter is used to send the audio from the computer to a FM walk man type receiver. The keyboard actually has nothing to do with the FM transmitter. The keyboard is a wireless keyboard for operating the computer remotely. It, in combination with the transmitter, allows one to hear the computer and type on the computer remotely. The transmitter had done remarkably well for me considering how close it has to be to my computer. That leads me into a criticism of the unit. The way the cord is made. In the back of the unit you will find a sticker near the top. Temporarily remove this sticker and with a very small flat-head screw driver, turn the screw as far to the right as possible. this should boost the power considerably. That I'm not sure of. Did you turn off the temp folder in roxio? You may also need to increase the size of the temp folder . go to internet options under control pannal. I don't know if your cd burning software has the capability to first copy to your hard drive, but if it does, select that option; it takes longer but that's how I use to do it with one drive.
