Questions on OtsDJ
Hello List! I have downloaded and installed the JAWS Scripts for OtsDj (JAWS 4, as I am using JAWS 4.02). If anyone on the list has this version. please tell me how to get it to playing and talking. I just need a little push. I can generate a playlist and sometimes get it to automatically start playing. I still don't seem to have total control of the program, even with the scripts. It seems I can never find the DJ or Play graphical button. I did the auto graphics labeler, but I am not sure when it is completed. I get no confirmation that it is done and I should restart JAWS or something. For expert users of this program, do give me a brief tutorial on getting it to playing at my command. Otsdj
Hello Wally and the list! The following is the information on OTSdj I am using currently: Operating System: Windows XP Home. OtsDJ Version (the latest: 1.+) Scripts: Snowman JAWS 4 Scripts. JAWS 4.02 Note: Right now, I am using the demo version, as he has not sent me a purchase form yet, but I think he will soon though. There seems to be a lot to do just getting Otsdj set up (graphics labelers automatic and manually). Anyway, I hope this info will generate more assistance with the program. well, wiht the archives, you only get windows media player coming up, and unfortunatley, it appears that you can't fast forward through the game. if they ran it through real player, you'd be able to click on it wiht the mouse and then make it start up in real player, which would then allow you to fast forward through the clips no problem. marco. - Original Message - From: "Tim Grady" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "PC audio discussion list. Re: total recorder and sound forge inquiries.
Mike, A few years ago Jonathan Mosen did a four cassette tutorial on Sound Forge which is excellent. Also Brian Hartgen has one as well. You can find both of these by going to the freedom scientific web page and click on the tutorials link and to www.hartgen.org.uk for brians. Brian's cost around $40 and Jonathan's around 80 dollars from freedom scientific. Hope this helps. At 12:04 AM 4/10/04 -0500, you wrote: >Hi folks! tim. when the embedded player opens up, i don't believe you can flick through the matches, unless it opens up in the imbedded player with real player as it's choice of player. then you should be able to right click on the screen and tell it to play in real player. if you right click on the imbedded player and it has used windows media player to play the stream, it doesn't allow you to open the archive up in windows media player and i believe that there is no graphic that allows you to skip through the game, but i'll get sighted assistance to find this out for sure and get back to you. cheers. marco. - Original Message - From: "Tim Grady" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "PC audio discussion list. Re: total recorder and sound forge inquiries.
Hi, Total recorder does have some editing features. You can bracket a file and save that part if the file. It's suppose to have a fade option but I haven't figured that out yet. You can skip through a file very fast. You can delete anything out side the selected file. You can delete everything before the cursor. Stuff like that. It's no way as powerful as sound forge, but I like it very much for it's simplicity. Regards Ken At 01:04 AM 4/10/2004, you wrote: Hi folks! Re: Strange microphone problem
OOPS! that quote should be an omni directional mike, not Uni. Sorry about that...rocker - Original Message - From: "Rocker" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "PC audio discussion list. Therefore, it would likely reduce some of the strange noise that it is picking up from around the room. cheers! - Original Message - From: "morey Worthington" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "PC audio discussion list. I would think it is the version that picks up from all directions. Is this bad? Could the version that picks up only in front of it be the better choice? Re: turtle beach santa cruz
Hello Tony, I recently installed the same sound card, and the same thing happened to me. So I just opened my windows volume control, and found that the controls were all set to 80. In Window Eyes, that means that the setting is quite low, so to achieve maximum volume, I set all the levels to 0, and that took care of the problem. Hope it helps. Re: MLB.com archives
Like I said before and I'm not guessing at this, if the imbedded player is the one for realplayer streams, there is a nice little graphic for skipping forward through a stream. I think there might be one for the Windows Media stream but I have to wait until I can get someone to read the graphics. - Original Message - From: "Marco Curralejo" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "PC audio discussion list. Try turning up the volume of the audio with winamp or windows media player. Shane At 04:50 PM 4/10/2004, you wrote: I have a new Santa Cruz sound card. Even when set at maximum in the program the audio from WinAmp or Windows Media Player is much lower relative to the Jaws output than with my previous sound card. Is there some way to boot the volume of one program relative to another?
