Hi Georg,

I just added -j 100 to every convertion. I don't think anybody is
interested in adjusting this via configuration, the resulting SWFs are
pretty small anyway.

Re: Webcam video during meeting

2012-05-02 Thread seba.wag...@gmail.com
Red5 acts as proxy server, all data is processed: client <=> server <=>
client

There is no P2P live stream with Flash (to be discussed :))
My last information about P2P is: Only customers that are using "Adobe
Stratus" can use a protocol called RTMFP with that protocol P2P is possible
with Flash.

If you want to discuss more about that topic I would suggest you try to
contact the Red5 developers.

Re: Issue with editing users

2012-05-02 Thread seba.wag...@gmail.com
Seems like the problem is that your users have not timezone in their
profile.
I think this is a problem that is not addressed yet as there is no way of
specifying a timezone for the LDAP imported users.
You could fix that for now by stopping your red5 service and setting a
timezone in the users table directly in the database in the column
"omtimezoneId".

I guess that should fix the error in saving the user profile.

The only option is to set up your browser (if I'm not mistaken FF can open jnlp
files without download prompt)
I'm afraid 5 seconds timeout might not be good for every user. You can set up
screen region to share and exclude jnlp dialog.

Yes Maxim but maybe there's a solution to open the .jnlp without the download

Also it will much practical if the recording begin after a 5 seconds discount
(for example). In this case we can avoid to record the .jnlp box because we
have time to minimize it.

I don't know.
Actually it should be browser/system setting to
1) associate jlnp file with java/javaws
2) tell browser to open file without prompting to save it

Re: Webcam video during meeting

2012-05-02 Thread Alexei Fedotov
Yes, we do - we have working P2P demo on dataved.ru
Not sure if it works, - it was useless waste of our money anyway :-(

There is a reason behind flash P2P implementation which makes it
non-usable. It requires switching default firewall off which a
standard user cannot and should not do.

Not sure if it works, - it was useless waste of our money anyway :-(

There is a reason behind flash P2P implementation which makes it
non-usable. It requires switching default firewall off which a
standard user cannot and should not do.

Do you mean Windows firewall?

If it is one main problem only, I think it worth to review it. Many
users use p2p applications and this hould not be main issue IMO.

OpenMeetings just redirects to demo.openmeetings.de

We've tried both the manual install and the VM and we get the same result for
both. When going to the website, we are immediately redirected to
demo.openmeetings.de/openmeetings/. Why is this and how do I keep the
execution of the application solely within the VM?

Thanks.

Additionnaly, in order to get a correct redirection when omitting the
full path, edit the following file: /opt/red5/webapps/root/index.html

Re: Webcam video during meeting

2012-05-02 Thread Daniel Ascher
Thank you to everyone who responded regarding this issue. I think this
would be a useful upgrade to OpenMeetings at some point, since it would
improve the end user experience. I am not an engineer so I don't claim to
have an understanding of the mechanics of making this happen. While this is
not critical for my purposes, I would be happy to do what I can to make it
happen. So please let me know.

Best.

RE: Error while Playing recording in openmeeting

2012-05-02 Thread George Kirkham
Pradeep,

Just as Hamdi suggested.

To ask the obvious, have you completed the following installation steps;

1) Installed sox and ffmpeg ?

2) In OpenMeetings administrator Configuration settings, have you set
the paths for these two applications ? For my Debian Squeeze
installation, the paths are "sox_path" = "/usr/bin" and "ffmpeg_path" =
"/usr/bin".

Thanks,

Maybe "server timezone" can be used in such case?
