Oops. Hopefully that can be corrected by removing the permissions for
"Constant" (with a big C).

File::Path as "m" - I can't update it!

2015-06-12 Thread Ricardo Signes

> File::Path,DLAND,c
> File::Path,FLORA,c

> File::Path,perl,c

If P5P was f instead of m, I could fix permissions.  Since it's m, I'm not sure
what I can do. I'm guessing this affects a bunch of things. At Berlin, we had
talked about updating all m to be f, but I'm not sure the status of that.

I don't really need P5P to be 'f' here, though, because this is not
upstream-blead. I just need new maintainers assigned.

Here are my suggestions:

IDEAL CASE:

  P5P is f
  JKEENAN is c
  RICHE is c

TOTALLY OKAY CASE:

  JKEENAN is f
  RICHE is c

Thanks.

Email::Folder permissions

2016-02-11 Thread Ricardo Signes
Modules People:

I have been maintaining Email::Folder since 2006 and would like to stop. I
only have co-maint, so I can't give anyone else permissions. I tried emailing
SIMONW, but got no reply.

I can just drop co-maint, but I will still have the latest release on CPAN. (I
view this as a big problem that I can't easily fix.) I would like to be
entirely disassociated with this (and other) modules. I think the only course
I have available is to get someone else making releases.

The one person who seems willing to take over is now applying for a PAUSE
account.  Could you either:

1. give him permission, once I confirm he has an account
2. give me first-come on the modules in Email-Folder so I can transfer
it to him
3.  provide alternative instructions

Thanks.

Email::Folder - read all the messages from a folder as Email::Simple objects
Email::Folder::Ezmlm - reads raw RFC822 mails from an ezmlm archive
Email::Folder::MH - reads raw RFC822 mails from an mh folder
Email::Folder::Maildir - reads raw RFC822 mails from a maildir
Email::Folder::Mbox - reads raw RFC822 mails from an mbox file
Email::Folder::Reader - reads raw RFC822 mails from a box

I'm asking to fix Number::Format to keep working

2023-05-06 Thread Ricardo Signes
William,

Hi! I'm Rik, one of the members of the Perl Steering Council, and I'm on the
hook for releasing the next version of perl, v5.38.0, "pretty soon." Changes
to locale handling in the last year have broken Number::Format
, I'd really like to avoid having
Number::Format broken on our new Perl, and so I'm hoping we can get a fixed
build shipped to the CPAN ASAP. A patch has been submitted on GitHub
.

It looks like you're not working on this code anymore, and I don't need you to
come out of retirement — but you can if you want! Alternatively, I'm happy to
apply the minimum fix and ship it. Further alternatively, I'm happy to take
over maintenance for a while, as it looks like there's a pileup of some other
issues.

Please let me know how you'd like to proceed! If you want *me* to do a
release, you can update permissions in PAUSE or you can just reply. I've cc'd
the admins, who can then update permissions.

Thanks!

looking to adopt Net-Flickr-Backup

2024-05-30 Thread Ricardo Signes
Hello, strangers,

Net-Flickr-Backup has had a pretty significant bug since at least 2019, which
means that it doesn't back up `my-cool-video.mp4` to that filename, but instead
loses the file extension. This makes the backup somewhat less easy to use.

I supplied a fix about five years ago, but there has been no reply then or
recently. There hasn't been a new release since December 2010, and this
particular distribution was the author's most recent upload. I'll try to
contact him at his resume address (??) but that might be my only lead atm.
