Need help getting new GDGraph release indexed
Hello all, I have uploaded a new release of GDGraph version 1.56 as the BPS user, but it seems it's not getting indexed. In the past I have received an email if indexing failed with a reason, but I haven't seen one this time. I logged in to PAUSE and tried to re-index as well. I got a confirmation email that it was scheduled for re-indexing, but nothing after. That was on 1/17 around 1:19PM ET. I'm assuming something is not quite right with the META file or tarball, but I'm not sure what to fix. Is there somewhere else I can check to see if something is wrong with the uploaded distribution? Thanks, Jim -- Jim Brandt

Re: Need help getting new GDGraph release indexed
Hi Jim, When you uploaded it, you had an email sent to your PAUSE contact email address, which included the line: > Status: No permissions for distribution name PAUSE now requires you to have indexing permissions on the package name that matches the distribution name. I.e. "GDGraph". The "problem" is that there isn’t a "GDGraph" module in the distribution, so when you were given permission to release it, you weren’t given permission on GDGraph, which only RUZ had. There’s a bit more to this, but the short story is that I’ve just dropped RUZ’s permission and will then force a reindexing of your release, which should give you first-come on GDGraph. I’ll then transfer this to MVERB (who has first-come on the other packages) and then give you and RUZ co-maint. I’ll let you know when it’s all done! Apologies for the confusion – this all comes down to some historical artifacts of PAUSE having been running for so long, and various CPAN things evolving over the decades. Cheers, Neil

It got stuck in a moderation state in our email system. I'm not sure why now since I have received similar messages before and the regular pause upload confirmation came through fine.
