Please help... I figure I'm missing something stupid because there's nothing on google about this -- and the error message has the rare distinction of having spelling errors in it (making it easier find). [Mjpeg-users] mjpegtools-1.6.2 release candidate 2
Hi all, As of today, release candidate 2 of mjpegtools-1.6.2 (official version: 1.6.1.91) is available on your local sourceforge mirror. For URLs, see https://sf.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=5776. This release candidate features an updated yuvdenoise, several bugfixes to mpeg2enc and the removal of libmovtar (plus a lot of other stuff that I forgot). Besides that, it's still as nice as mjpegtools-1.6.1.90 (the previous release candidate). We've got pre-compiled RPMs for RedHat-9.0 available. I hope to add Debian (unstable) packages fairly soon. For bugs, complaints, marriage proposals and other comments, please email the user list at mjpeg-users (at) lists (dot) sf (dot) net. To follow development, subscribe to the developer mailing list at mjpeg-developer (at) lists (dot) sf (dot) net. If we don't hear (bug-)comments, this release will very likely be promoted to 1.6.2 within a few days or weeks. Enjoy! That would seem to indicate that you're using an older version - perhaps the problem you're having was fixed at the same time the error message was removed (or at least spell checked ;)). > Worse yet, I don't see a way to specify the image dimensions > in the man page. It may be there, but my question is > really, why can't it read the image dimension and frame rate > from my .y's? The output of ppmtoy4m will place a header containing the size information in the file. On one of the .y files do a "head -n 1" and you should see something similar to YUV4MPEG2 W720 H480 F3:1001 Ib A10:11 If not then the creation of the .y file wasn't correct - could be a bug jpeg2yuv that's been fixed since the version you're using. A release candidate is being worked on now so if trying the cvs version isn't of interest then waiting a few days for the next tarball might be a good idea. Thanks for help, but... I dload a driver from cvs (1.1.2.24), but isn't compile because this line in zoran_driver.c: unsigned int minor = iminor(inode); gcc-2.95 -D__KERNEL__ -I/usr/src/kernel-source-2.4.22-xfs/include -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes -Wno-trigraphs -O2 -fno-strict-aliasing -fno-common -fomit-frame-pointer -pipe -mpreferred-stack-boundary=2 -march=i386 -DMODULE -DEXPORT_SYMTAB -nostdinc -iwithprefix include -DKBUILD_BASENAME=zoran_driver -c -o zoran_driver.o zoran_driver.c zoran_driver.c: In function `zoran_open': zoran_driver.c:1267: warning: implicit declaration of function `iminor' --- I change this line to previous version (1.1.2.23): unsigned int minor = minor(inode->i_rdev); and it compiles fine. But...(again), the error on driver load persist :-( As it said Ronald, I find that this mother-board (Soyo SY-7VBA133U) is incompatible with the driver...sniff :( Em Ter, 2003-11-25 às 10:05, Bernhard Praschinger escreveu: > Hallo > > > Thank you. > > Not abusing, how I get from the CVS? > > cvs -z3 -d:pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/cvsroot/mjpeg co -r ZORAN_VIDEODEV_2 > > driver-zoran/ > > That should work. > > > auf hoffentlich bald, > > Berni the Chaos of Woodquarter > > Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > www: http://www.lysator.liu.se/~gz/bernhard > > > --- > This SF.net email is sponsored by: SF.net Giveback Program. > Does SourceForge.net help you be more productive? Fix will be in 1.6.1.92 (in a day or two) though. Until then just use the short form of the options ;) Steven Schultz --- This SF.net email is sponsored by: SF.net Giveback Program. [Mjpeg-users] feature request
If i understand correctly, one of the reasons why mplex cannot multiplex subtitles was the scarcity of tools to generate subtitle streams with timestamp information. Actually, there is an easy way to extract subtitles with enough information so that the subtitles can be fully reconstructed and muxed back into a .vob file. See the script below. It accomplishes that via transcode, subtitleripper and dvdauthor (needs a recent transcode stable release, a fresh subtitleripper CVS tree, and a recent alpha version of dvdauthor): ## tccat -t dvd -i /dev/dvd -P ${n} > ${proj}-title${n}.vob mkfifo vid.fifo mkfifo aud.fifo mkfifo sub.fifo tcextract -i vid.fifo -t vob -x mpeg2 -a 0xe0 \ > ${proj}.m2v & tcextract -i aud.fifo -t vob -x ac3 -a 0 \ > ${proj}.ac3 & tcextract -i sub.fifo -t vob -x ps1 -a 0x20 \ > ${proj}.sub & cat ${proj}-title${n}.vob | tee vid.fifo aud.fifo \ sub.fifo > /dev/null # optional #mv ${proj}.m2v ${proj}-big.m2v #tcrequant -i ${proj}-big.m2v -o ${proj}.m2v -f ${fact} mplex -f 8 -S 4400 ${proj}.m2v ${proj}.ac3 \ -o ${proj}-plain.vob subtitle2pgm -i ${proj}.sub -o ${proj} -g 5 -t 1 spumux ${proj}.dvdxml < ${proj}-plain.vob > ${proj}.vob The timestamps and other info are stored in the .dvdxml file which is generated exclusively based upon the .sub file. It strikes me though as cumbersome and convoluted to do so many operations for something that should be as simple as: mplex -f 8 -S 4400 ${proj}.m2v ${proj}.ac3 ${proj}.sub \ -o ${proj}.vob -- Florin Andrei http://florin.myip.org/ --- This SF.net email is sponsored by: SF.net Giveback Program. I changed it so that the version is 2.2.3 in both places and the date changed to be the GMT time the version number was incremented. Will be in the next release candidate. Re: [Mjpeg-users] Better MPEG decoder for WMP
Hallo > Does anyone know of a better MPEG decoder for Windows Media Player - maybe > one that will play 1024x768 videos? The Windows one won't work - it seems > like DVD players install a better one, but I was looking for something I > could redistribute with the video. Any ideas? If you just want a mpeg decoder you should take a look at VLC (http://www.videolan.org/) it exists for many OS. The Windows Media Player does only support MPEG1 videos. I think I read a article where they described how to install a seperate packege of the windows install CD, and than you have a very basic DVD player. But that is much mor complicated than downloading and sterting VLC. The typical DVD Player SW in Windows is able to play back MPEG1/2. BTW: You do not have to install (just copy them to a location) VLC on a Windows system, so you still can play back videos with VLC. That important if the sysadmin has removed the right to install SW on you PC. ;) auf hoffentlich bald, Berni the Chaos of Woodquarter Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] www: http://www.lysator.liu.se/~gz/bernhard --- This SF.net email is sponsored by: SF.net Giveback Program. In Unix you usally use that guide: http://www.mir.com/DMG/stills.html And there you have all the tools you need in the mjpeg package. (mjpeg.sf.net) To convert images to differnet formart use convert from ImageMagic Package (http://www.imagemagick.org/). auf hoffentlich bald, Berni the Chaos of Woodquarter Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] www: http://www.lysator.liu.se/~gz/bernhard --- This SF.net email is sponsored by: SF.net Giveback Program.
