An unread count for things in the trash is distracting and annoying to me. (I know the count can be disabled in MailMate, but I use other clients.) The time required to hit ⇧⌘U over and over really adds up (especially when it includes switching from the mouse to the keyboard). First, hold down ⌥ when clicking “Check Now” in the Software Update preferences pane to get r3832 of MailMate. Then go to the General preferences pane and enable *experimental* 2.0 features. Finally, double click the “Deleted Messages” mailbox and add a rule with no conditions, but simply an action to enable “Seen”. I think that should work (and you can do the same for Junk). I'm on r3836 and have enabled experimental features. Double clicking "Deleted Messages" takes me to rename the box.___ mailmate mailing list mailmate@lists.freron.com http://lists.freron.com/listinfo/mailmate

[MlMt] Fastmail personalities and MailMate
Is there a way to add "send from" or "send as" address without adding a new source? I just switched to fastmail, and would like to use "j...@jrhorn.me" as my default return address. I guess I'm just looking for a way to have extra aliases listed in the compose window. [MlMt] Inline images
Supposing I've blocked inline images, but not checked the option for "unless explicitly marked as junk". Does MM indiscriminately block all images in the selected boxes? I suppose I could just check the box and create a custom keyboard shortcut for marking "Not Junk". I like the idea of blocking images unless I choose otherwise, but clicking "Not Junk" breaks my keyboard flow. ___ mailmate mailing list mailmate@lists.freron.com http://lists.freron.com/listinfo/mailmate

A bit off topic, but I have also been asked about what MailMate can do to learn from the messages marked as “Not Junk” for future incoming messages (without SpamSieve). Not off-topic at all! I hesitated to ask this very thing. Here is a suggestion which I haven't tested: 1. Create a smart mailbox showing all messages with the “Not Junk” keyword. 2. Create a smart mailbox with all messages which *do not* have the same sender as one of the “Not Junk” messages: The condition in smart mailbox 2 looks like this: From ▸ Address is not in “Not Junk mailbox” From ▸ Address Finally, use that mailbox in the Security preferences pane for image blocking. Feedback is welcome with respect to whether or not this actually works :-) Excellent! I don't even have to pay attention to the smart mailboxes, just "Junk" and "Not Junk" as usual. [MlMt] Fastmail keybindings
Hi, I've made a keybindings file to emulate Fastmail, modeled after the included Gmail keybindings. You can grab the file here: https://gist.github.com/jrhorn424/7496538 So far things work as expected (though I was getting weird bugs that I fixed by removing extraneous newlines). The only thing that is odd is that selectWithFilter isn't behaving as expected. Whether I choose read, unread, flagged, or not flagged, all messages within the current mailbox are selected. In one thread the wrapping of the lines in the quoted text changes as I resize the window, and in another it remains fixed to the 72/73 limit. Not sure what the difference is. Sorry I can't help with your original request. But I think it's likely that some messages are wrapping and others not based on the type of e-mail replied to, that is HTML or text. I can't see that appearing as an option in the Conditions part of the Smart Mailbox definition window. Is it possible? I'm just guessing, but I suspect this is saved as a virtual header in Gmail. Might want to research that. When creating a smart mailbox condition, click "Other" at the bottom of the drop down.
