This is really cool. I haven’t noticed those unique headers. And I think it might be better for me to create this rule in MailMate, in case I need to use Outlook web mail some times. This seems worth trying. Also, I am copying Jolin Warren’s solution which is also cool below in case you or anyone reading this need it (weirdly, the mail from Jolin did not appear in my inbox or MM’s archive, just in the daily digest): On 24 Jan 2025, at 5:32, Jolin Warren wrote: if you look at the headers in a message that the server copied to the Sent folder, you will find one or two headers that are unique to sent messages automatically copied by the 365 server. Tracy, Have you checked the Synchronization Setting of the Source account? The default is 10 min. But it may have been unexpectedly changed. Each Source added should have the same default unless there is some issue with the IMAP Server. Respectfully, Henry Seiden - - Techworks Pro Co. Re: [MlMt] Option not to Put Sent Messages in Sent Folder
Hi Froup, In Mailmate you can specify a “sent” mailbox per account (mailbox type in the source dropdown menu (ctrl click)). So you could have your “SentByMailMate” mailbox where MM would move the sent mail to ( and so you can decide afterwards to do with it what ever you like :-) ) Just my 5cts Marc On 11 Jan 2025, at 20:49, froup via mailmate wrote: Hi, As a relatively new user, I have been using MailMate for days and love it. The only thing bothering me is that I am using MS Office 365 from my work account, and the server would automatically copy the sent messages to the Sent folder. So, with the same function provided by MailMate, there would always be duplicated messages in the folder. I searched and read about the mail archive in the old mailing list, and kind of understand the design choice. However, years passed, and I am writing to kindly ask if there could be an per-account option for the user to disable client-side sent copy — just speaking for myself, I could risk losing sent messages (which could be rare to happen), I do not care downloading the same message from the server again (most people do not care about bandwidth used to download just some emails), but I find the duplicating problem really annoying, and I believe that I am not the only one who think so. I would really appreciate it if you could consider the option, and it is also understandable to just keep the same design choice. Thank you. I had some correspondence with Benny and it turned out that the issue doesn’t arise when using the MailMate default font (which is the system default ‘San Francisco’). With the default font you can set the size to whatever you want and the text remains vertically centred in message lists. Ben, it looks like you’ve found a solution but if you want another one you can reset the font to the default and then choose any size. And a future version of MailMate may fix the issue entirely. -- => Jolin ___ mailmate mailing list Unsubscribe: https://lists.freron.com/listinfo/mailmate
Re: [MlMt] Message list vertical font alignment
Jolin, +1 on the font delta offset setting variation report with different display fonts in the main Message window. Hint: monospace font are easier to deal with. In the main window, I use MS Consolas as the display font. Other mono-spaced fonts, like Menlo work similarly well. Other fonts, not so much. Maybe this will be a clue for Benny.
