It's probably not based on your description.

So.. Thanks a lot to anyone who can contribute any clues here.

I think there's an “exception” involved here which does not crash
MailMate but leaves it in a semi-bad state. Try launching MailMate from
a Terminal window and then send me any suspicious output:

/Applications/MailMate.app/Contents/MacOS/MailMate

You can send it to me off list and hopefully it's easily fixed.

And, Benny, pardon my asking in the list about this now,

No problem.

and please continue to enjoy your vacation.

Thanks, I'll get back to it after another 25 emails or so :-)

I agree, this is probably one of the only weak points of MM. However
based on my experience with other applications, this is definitively not
a trivial issue, and it is certainly dependent on the IMAP server.
Benny, in one of your previous emails, you mentioned that the lack of
tag syncing (meaning I have to re-tag by hand dozens of emails each time

To be clear, a solution would involve some kind of private “message”
within an IMAP folder on an IMAP server (as also seen with other email
clients). This could of course be hidden by MailMate, but it would be
visible in other email clients -- annoying but necessary. There is no

Certainly, but maybe best done off list. Write me an email via “Help

reproduce the issue. Note that if it's an Exchange server then it's a

Hi there,

I’m pretty confused about my _sent_ mailbox.

First, looks like it’s not totally synchronized as I can’t find
all
messages sent. Today, I could see few messages sent this morning,
and

later the last one I coud see are those sent yesterday.

Then, I use two google accounts, so I have two sub-mailbox in the
the

« sent » mailbox.
However, on one of them I see 3 kind of sub _mailbox_ (actually I
wouldn’t know how to call them, but there are clearly not mailbox)
related to specific adresses, including mine.

I’m 100% I’ve never created them : I wouldn’t even know how to
!
(cf screenshot attached)

I can see strange things on my gmail webmail as well… beside the
sent
folder, sub sent mailbox have been created (using the tag)

I’m quite lost… as a noob I could do things wrong, but I really
don’t see what could be the problem. By the way, I really need to
have
my sent mailbox well synchronized.

thanks to the community, (Benny keep resting if you’re still on
the

island, I can wait)

best

Ju

+1 for the export/import user story. From my side that would suffice:

1. export mailbox configuration on desktop
2. copy one file over to laptop
3. import mailbox configuration into laptop
  - overwrite mailbox settings
 - mailboxes
 - Conditions
 - Submailbox settings
 - Rules
  - ? import tags (if tags have internal IDs, they could also be
overwritten?)
  - ? how to handle a mailbox that exists on the target but not in the
source?
