Sorry about all your issues with tags. Something is definitely not
working as it should. For the record, MailMate does not auto-tag
anything and the Tags mailbox should never have an “Other” item.
This item only exists if the parent mailbox contains any untagged
messages and this is not the case for the default Tagged mailbox.
After computer was in sleep, I turned it on and I am back to seeing
Other tags. Worse, the tags keep multiplying without me asking for it.
The current counts are
Tagged: 1300
Other: 164
ToDo: 50
ToRead: 1096
This behavior makes tagging totally useless, at least for me.
I don't think (yet) this is a general issue. I need to know more about
your setup and IMAP server(s) and therefore I'll take debugging off
list. Hopefully I can reproduce the issue somehow and fix or work around
whatever is causing this behavior.
