Hi kare,

It's bloody violent,

And for people that are meant to be blind some of them can use bow and arrows
pretty impressively

But I'vve got to the end of the season so I'm going to have to find another

That show sometimes films in Toronto. they also send out casting calls for
actual actors with sight loss, so at least in the casting factor
their are using that talent.

Another Album that Siri won't play

2020-03-04 Thread 'Donna Goodin' via MacVisionaries
Hi all,

Just thought I'd put this out to the list, and see if anyone has any
suggestions.

I have another album that Siri will not play. When I Say Hey Siri Play X, the
response is, "I don't see that album in your library or in Apple Music." But
when I go into iTunes, it says it's a matched AAC audio file." Any thoughts?
Sidenote: I can play the album using Airplay.
TIa,
Donna

It's been years since I've set this up, and google is not being my friend. Can
someone remind me how to do this?

Hey Donna,
you need to save the page as a favorite. On some Macs it's not CMD # but CMD

Hi Donna,

How did this album get into your library? Did you purchase it from iTunes? Rip
it from CD? Get it from Apple Music? Do you know whether or not the album is
properly tagged with ID3 tags?

Hi Robert,
I ripped it from CD. I have no idea what an IT3 tag is, though I assume it has
something to do with how iTunes identifies music. How would I check to see if

TIA,

P.S. In case it’s relevant, I currently have Apple music, and Siri says that

Re: Another Album that Siri won't play

2020-03-04 Thread 'Tim Kilburn' via MacVisionaries
Hi Donna,

If you have a Mac, go into the Music app, select any song within that album,
and press cmd-i to Get Info on the song. Within the Details scroll area of the
the Details tab you'll find all the tag info. This includes the song name,
artist, album, genre etc. Normally, when ripping CD's, this info is brought in
automatically, but can get muddled up a bit if iTunes/Music didn't properly
match the CD in the CDDB.

Later...

And, Siri plays it just fine from my phone. Ah, well, I guess it's just more
HomePod weirdness. I really wish Apple would fix these problems.

Re: Can someone give me a quick refresher on how to set CMD-Option-number to bring up a specific web page?

2020-03-04 Thread 'Tim Kilburn' via MacVisionaries
Hi,

As Jürgen mentioned, it has to do with your Favourites. If your Favourites bar
is visible, then you can see the order of Favourites in your bar. The first
one is accessed by cmd-option-1, or cmd-1, if you'd rather. I prefer using
just cmd-1 etc and this is configured in Safari Prefs, in the Tabs pane. I
find it easiest to manipulate the order of things in the "Show Bookmarks"
window. In there, you can interact with the table of Bookmarks, expand the
Favourites folder, then cut and paste the Bookmarks into your desired order.
The first nine can be accessed using the keyboard shortcuts.

HTH.

Hi Donna,

When you say that Siri plays it just fine from your iPhone, do you mean that
you ask Siri the same thing directly at your iPhone and it's able to be played,
whereas, it does not from the HomePod?

Re: Another Album that Siri won't play

2020-03-04 Thread 'Tim Kilburn' via MacVisionaries
Hi,

OK. I will try some tricks later today when I get back home to see if there
are any wording tricks to make things work better for you on the HomePod. I
usually play playlist most of the time, so haven't asked a lot of album
questions lately.

Later...

Any thoughts? Sidenote: I can play the album using Airplay.

The only one I have problems with is asking Siri to play The BEE Gees,it always
plays The Feelers instead. Don’t even think one could blame my Kiwi accent on
that one as I don’t think The BEE Gees and the feelers sound anything alike as
far as a name goes.

2020-03-04 Thread Anders Holmberg
Hi!
Since my siri is set to swedish i have to speak english as its spelled in
Swedish.
There are some albums that just works with no problem.
If i say play british steal it just plays that album.
But if you’re not a metal fan don’t try that at home as you might blow your
ears or your speakers.
Most likely scare your neighbours.

If you are wanting to turn on keychain sinking, do the following.
In iCloud preferences, find the services group and interact with it. Then

FYI - In macOS Catalina, iCloud preferences has been changed to Apple ID. Once
you find it, it is pretty much the same as when it was called iCloud in
previous macOS versions.

Re: Another Album that Siri won't play

2020-03-04 Thread 'Tim Kilburn' via MacVisionaries
Hi,

In my testing I've found that when asking to play albums that are not in Apple
Music, say something like "Play album Natural from my Library". This worked
perfectly for an obscure album that I've ripped and made part of my library.
Didn't bother with saying the artist name as it was in Greek. My simple phrase
worked fine. Other things like "Play Taproot Manuscript by Neil Diamond"
worked properly for me as well, although I believe that album is both in Apple
Music and my library. Maybe, try not to give Siri too much detail and see how
she does.

There is no iCloud preferences. Open System Preferences, Internet,
choose the account you want and in the table you will find Keychain
where you can enable it.

I didn't go to internet accounts. I did go to iCloud. it's listed in system
prefs. where I seem to run into trouble is knowing when to interact and what to
interact with. if I don't do that right I don't find half of what's in there.

Re: Keychain

2020-03-04 Thread Barry Hadder
Well, glad you got it.
When ever the vo cursor moves over something that can be interacted with, there
is a sound effect and if it is a group of items it will also say group. It
makes vo navigation much faster, but it is something to get used to.

in the vo help menu, there is a list of most if not all of the vo navigation
sounds. You can just arrow through them. i am assuming that you can hear. If
not then of course that won’t be of much help.

RE: Another Album that Siri won't play

2020-03-04 Thread Simon A Fogarty
Can’t see the connection in names there,

Or mind you the connection in music genre

The only one I have problems with is asking Siri to play The BEE Gees,it always
plays The Feelers instead. Don’t even think one could blame my Kiwi accent on
that one as I don’t think The BEE Gees and the feelers sound anything alike as
far as a name goes.

TIa,
Donna

Hey,
I’ll happily try that as I love Metal. I like all sorts of music. I work in a
rest-home for the elderly in the kitchen and they have to put up with a lot of
heavy metal.

Hi!
Since my siri is set to swedish i have to speak english as its spelled in

There are some albums that just works with no problem.
If i say play british steal it just plays that album.
But if you’re not a metal fan don’t try that at home as you might blow your
ears or your speakers.
Most likely scare your neighbours.
