Hi, As Jürgen mentioned, it has to do with your Favourites. If your Favourites bar is visible, then you can see the order of Favourites in your bar. The first one is accessed by cmd-option-1, or cmd-1, if you'd rather. I prefer using just cmd-1 etc and this is configured in Safari Prefs, in the Tabs pane. I find it easiest to manipulate the order of things in the "Show Bookmarks" window. In there, you can interact with the table of Bookmarks, expand the Favourites folder, then cut and paste the Bookmarks into your desired order. The first nine can be accessed using the keyboard shortcuts.
