Re: Bluetooth braille using Catalina the 10 point.15.3. Please read below?

2020-02-27 Thread maurice mines
An update on the situation. I spent about an hour on the phone with tech
support for human wear. And unfortunately the same problem existed even with
the support professional. This issue has been thoroughly documented. I’ll
probably write you all an update when I find out what is being done to fix this
problem. Just me normal consumer think the problem is largely breast in
Cupertino. This use of a security code generated by my Mac for an adaptive
technology device is ready to kill us! If you can exempt speakers and things
that people want for purely entertainment purposes why is it that the blind
must put in codes and all sorts of specialty things in order to access our
hardware and use non visual access techniques. And they wonder why we have a
70% unemployment rate. This is why people won’t hire Russ. Long story short the
big boys and operating systems need to understand that if they are going to
help people get employed they need to reduce the barriers to employment. That’s
not just on the state agencies.

Sincerely Maurice Mines.

No, it is not possible.
This was possible in older versions of pages, but Apple removed this option in

2020-02-27 Thread Jonathan Cohn
I have now paired my Braille note touch plus running all current firmware with
my Catai=lina and with my Mohabi systems. As I said when I did my original
tests, there is absolutely no need to enter a pairing code, just to confirm it.
If you want to FaceTime with me I can walk you through the process.

Re: How do I find the USB3 port on my Mac?

2020-02-27 Thread Jonathan Cohn
All ports directly on your Mac should be the same type. Since older USB
standards will work with newer ports , it makes little sense to include USB2
ports on a machine that supports USB3. That being said, my USB 3 hub somehow
has both USB3 and USB2 protocols running on it as indicated by System
Information.

Best wishes,

Jonathan Cohn

good to be sure I remembered them correctly Thank You!). The problem seems to
be intermittent so I must be doing something wrong.

Tim, I've mainly tried to drag and dropfrom documents to the desk top, and vise
versa.
I have more than seven hundred items to move (the Mac was not well set up) so
I really want to get this working smoothly. Incidentally any suggestions on
how to simplify and make the moving of all these files and folders as quick
and easy as possible would be much appreciated.

Thanks again for the help,
Joy

Hi,

The VO-period and VO-comma commands for dragging and dropping are primarily for
very short distance movement and have numerous limitations. You may wish to
use the older Drag & Drop method whereby you use VO-cmd-shift-space to invoke
the mouse-down action, then move to wherever you're wishing to move, then use
the same key combination to invoke the mouse-up action to drop the item in the
new location. Again, there are some limitations to this as well, but it works
much better in many situations. What were you attempting to drag and drop and
from where to where?

Good Evening,
Is anyone else having problems dragging and dropping? I've been on the phone
with Apple twice and thought we'd found a work around using the mouse cursor
(since vo, comma and vo period Were a lost cause), however, I'm again
experiencing the same problem. The item gets marked and dragged but it won't
drop. Any suggestions for something I could try? Pleasse?

Thanks for all and any help,
Sincerely,
Joy

Re: Dragging And Dropping With VO In Catalina

2020-02-27 Thread David The Computer Guy
Not sure if this is of any help but the way I have my MacBook Pro set up as I
drag stuff around with three fingers and it seems to work just fine with or
without voiceover utility enabled.
