2013-10-14 Thread Les Kriegler
The fact that it doesn't work doesn't necessarily mean you have a problem with
your phone. I have had experiences where if my figure isn't centered properly,
I received the message to try again. This probably happens to me a few times a
week. But I suspect this is normal behavior.

 Hello All.

For those of you who might be using a 5S, does your finger get recognised
all the time? The second time running within a week since I had the I

my finger does not get recognised. Is this happening to anyone else? I have
deleted my finger scan twice. Then re added it and again after a few days

 Thank you very much.

I have yet deleted my first finger print and have added two for Backup.

I keep my hands dry and clean due to having a guide dog and being a Braille

2013-10-14 Thread Ricardo Walker
Hi,

I don’t mean to be flip but, write to Apple about what? You said you have had
the finger print reader not register your print twice in a week. This sounds
pretty normal in my opinion. I actually think that is an extremely high
success rate for a biometric scanner of any sort. I mean, you unlock your phone
maybe a hundred times in a week. For it not to work twice, doesn’t sound like
reason for alarm, or a note to Apple. Of course, to each their own.

Just my 2 cents. haha.

Hello Jesus,

Select the signature in the central table you want to apply to an acount.
Turn cursor tracking off, press VO-Comma. Navigate to the appropriate
account in the left-hand table. Press VO-Period then remember to turn cursor
tracking back on.

I don't know why we have to turn cursor tracking off for this to work, but
it seems to be the case.

Cheers,

Re: signitures in email

2013-10-14 Thread Ray Foret Jr
No wonder I couldn't get drag and drop to work for moving all my signatures
from central to my new Comcast account. So, let me see if I've got this right
now.

1. Select all three signatures from the central or "All signatures table".

2. Turn off curser tracking then press VO+coma to pick up all three.

3. Now, navigate to the Comcast signatures table, which should be empty.

4. Now, Press VO+period to drop all three in place.

5. Now, turn on curser tracking.

Missing anything in that?

removing signatures appears to be impossible

2013-10-14 Thread Ray Foret Jr
Okay.

How do I remove signatures? Every time I try with what appears to be the usual
way, selecting signatures and then pressing the delete key and then return to
confirm, mail always goes busy busy busy asnd I have to force quit every single
time. Needless to say, signatures are not removed. Do I actually need to
rebuild the entire Comcast account to do this? I cannot believe Apple still
has not fixed this!

I tried selecting all three signatures from the Comcast table and then pressing
VO+space on the remove button but that just resulted in what I described
before. Anybody got any ideas?

There are also three free books in the iBook Store that are free and cover iOS7

iOS7 iTouch Users Guide
iOS7 iPad Users Guide

All three books are free and have 200 to 300 pages each. I have read most of

First thing you do is go to settings/mail, contacts & calendars. There,
select add new account. On the next window select other from the account
types. Now fill in your name, and in the e-mail field, enter a fake
address. For example, j...@example.com and enter in your real account
password. You will also enter in an account description for example,
Hotmail. Then hit next. You should then be on a screen that ask you to
pick IMAP or pop. Select IMAP if its not already selected. On the same
screen, enter in your correct e-mail address. For the incoming server you
will enter imap-mail.outlook.com. For the outgoing server, you will type in
smtp-mail.outlook.com. Although it says optional, I entered in my username,
which is your correct e-mail and password.

Hit next after all info has been entered, your device will validate, than
double tap save.

I think I’ll record a podcast on this this week.

2013-10-14 Thread Kawal Gucukoglu
Hello All.

For those of you who might be using a 5S, does your finger get recognised all
the time? The second time running within a week since I had the I phone, my
finger does not get recognised. Is this happening to anyone else? I have
deleted my finger scan twice. Then re added it and again after a few days it
can't recognise my finger. If it's only me then I'll contact apple.

Thank you very much.

Re: signitures in email

2013-10-14 Thread Nicholas Parsons
Just FYI, I think the reason we need to turn curser tracking off for this is
because when you navigate away from the All Signatures list, the signature
you're trying to drag disappears from view. With curser tracking turned off,
however, only the VoiceOver curser is navigating away from the All Signatures
list. This means keyboard and mouse focus keep the All Signatures list selected
so the signature you wish to drag is still visible and able to be dragged.
I don't mean to go on at length but I think it's useful to understand these
concepts as it's the same elsewhere in OS X, such as when dragging notes to
different folders in Notes. It's hard for VoiceOver users to understand as it's
related to what's visible on a screen as opposed to what's accessible with
VoiceOver.
Cheers,
Nic

there is no such thing as free. You have already stated in so many words that
someone has to jump through hoops to get this supposedly free macbook. So, why
not just come right out and say what you need to get done on an open list?
SOrry if I seem like a wet blanket, but this sounds a lot like a put up job to

If its not, I wholeheartedly apologize for the above statement.

importing folders into iTunes running latest iTunes version?

2013-10-14 Thread Donna Goodin
Hi all,

I'm experiencing something strange when I try to import a folder into my iTunes
library from within iTunes. I go into the menu, select Import to Library. I
have tried both selecting my user profile, and selecting Music in the sidebar.
In either case, the only music I see is the music that's already in my library,
i.e. I can't seem to see albums that are just in the iTunes Media Folder but
not imported. Anyone know what's up with this?
thanks,
Donna

Sharing Reminders lists in ios7

2013-10-14 Thread Traci Duncan
Hi all,

I'm having a heck of a time sharing reminder lists since upgrading to ios7. I
tried to re-add the person I share the list with, I also tried to delete the
list and create a new one then share it. None of these things worked.

I googled this problem and it seems others are having the same issue, but I
couldn't find a solution.

Any ideas out there?

Thank you,
Traci

Re: I've still got the free macbook

2013-10-14 Thread Michael Babcock
This is not a scam, however I felt that it would be more appropriate to request
that individuals email me privately off list. As I've been requested a couple
of times both off and on the list to send the email that I am sending two
individuals on the list, I will do so here. This email that is included below,
is the same message that I am responding to people with, who email me privately
as originally requested in the message posted on list. I can't verify that this
is the exact message that I sent individuals who contacted me personally,
however if someone so chooses to respond to this message who contacted me
privately, and verifies that this message below, is the exact message that I
sent you, then that would be appreciated to help with the skepticism. No one
has completed both steps as referenced in the email message below, therefore,
this unit is still available. This program has the ability of making people a
lot of money, I've detailed on my YouTube channel using voice over, the fact
that I've made $60 this past weekend, which might not seem like a lot of money
to you guys, but has changed my life this weekend. I want to teach other
individuals how to do what I do, but there is a lot of work that goes into it,
and one of the things that goes into it is following directions. That's why my
directions that were originally posted to this list, where as specific as they
were. Therefore, anyone else who wants more information about this, should
email me at the email address referenced in this email message, as this is most
certainly off-topic for this list. Hence the reason I did not want to post this
message on list. But it is not a scam. Again as referenced in the YouTube
videos.
However, as I'm receiving quite a bit of ridicule from individuals for trying
to help individuals who don't have money get a unit for free, then maybe I'll
retract the offer and make it not available, as I stated in the original
message this morning I won't post this offer anymore on this list, and this
will be the last message to this thread, because obviously people don't believe
me.
--
thanks a lot for your interest in the MacBook that I advertised online.
Here's the directions that you need to follow, the first person to follow the
directions exactly, will be the individual who gets this macbook…
I currently work for the referral company called zip not a zilch, and for each
individual who I referred to try out companies products and services I get
paid. Ultimately my goal is to teach other individuals how they can work from
home, and get paid like I do as well. However, there is a lot of skepticism
with this type of work, but I've been paid over $200 throughout the past year
with this program, and I want to teach others how to do this as well. Oh yea,
and I don't sell anything...
So, here's how it works, and what you need to do…
Normally you have to visit the website that I will include at the bottom of
this message, complete your offer requirements (which will be explained later
on), and then refer someone else to do the same in order to get paid. However,
a lot of individuals see that you have to refer someone else, in order to get
paid and this makes them not want to complete their offer requirements.
However, if people don't complete their offer requirements, I don't get paid.
So, it is my objective, to teach individuals how they can become qualified to
receive payments, and start making money from home. And, incentivize them to
begin making money from home, with a free MacBook.
Let me explain this to you.
If you go to this website:
http://myownpay.com/
You will be presented with a lead capture page. Enter your name, email
address, and phone number into that page. That information will stay with me, I
am the only one who will have access to that information. You will then be
presented with another brief video, watch it review it and click on step number
one. Follow the video directions that are on step number one, and register for
an account on zip not a zilch. Here is a direct link that you can go to to
register for your account:
http://one.myownpay.com/
Once you have registered for an account you will see that you have zero
credits. You then need to click on the "offers" tab, and complete one of those
offers. Once you have done this, you will see that you have one credit on the
first site, You need to do this for step to at my own pay, hears a direct link
to step 2:
http://2.myownpay.com/
note, when registering for step 2, you will be told that you already have an
account on another site and asked if you would like to import your information,
entering your password from step number one, and allow it to import your
information. Click on the offers tab, and complete your offer requirements.
If you cancel the trials before the trials are up, you won't be charged, and
this MacBook will be free. You must have one credit on both sites in order to
receive the

Re: I've still got the free macbook

2013-10-14 Thread Brandon Olivares
Michael,

No offense, but $200 in a year is hardly worth going through all of this. I've
been there, done that before, desperate to make money, and it's just demeaning.
There are so many better ways, such as actually putting your skillsets and
experience to use in some way.

I wouldn't go through all that you said just to get a free Macbook. I know I
need not say anything in that case, but I'm just trying to say there are better
ways out there to make money. I started a business earlier this year, and we've
made a heck of a lot more than $200. Sure I probably put in hundreds of hours
of work, but it's been worth every minute of it, and at least I know that work
is going towards something good, instead of filling out random offers for
companies.

There are so many scams out there. I know you don't believe this is a scam, but
if not then everyone would be doing this meaningless work. I'd rather apply my
mind to something worthwhile and become a better person by it.

Again I'm not criticizing you as a person, just saying there are better ways.

Regards,
Brandon
