Deleting album from iPhone
Hello all. The subject line says it all. How do I delete a specific album from the iPhone? I went into music, went to the artists tab, double tapped on the artist I am interested in, tried to double tap and hold then while holding swipe to the right on the album I wish to delete, but I wasn't able to delete it. I've tried several times. Please advise. Thanks! -- Christopher H -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "MacVisionaries" group. Re: Deleting album from iPhone
Hi, the accessibility team says it's a bug between VoiceOver and iOS that it doesn't work reliably using a swipe to the right as you described. They try to fix it. I found two ways to do it anyway: 1. Switch off VoiceOver and put your finger on the right place for ruffly one second. Then move the finger to the right. Then you can switch on VoiceOver again and click on the confirm delete button. 2. You are presumably a user of iTunes Match. Switch off iTunes Match on your iPhone and delete content manually via iTunes. Afterwards you can switch iTunes Match on again. Re: Deleting album from iPhone
Helo everyone. I struggled with this also. I found that if I double tap and hold with one finger and make a small quick movement immediately after I hear the tone, the prompt will show up and you will be able to delete the elbum or podcast. BY Word
By Word is an excellent text editor that I have used on my Mac for a while. I bought it for it's MarkDown support. i noticed that in a recent update they mention the addition of iCloud support for syncing documents between the app and a new IOS app. I haven't tried the IOS yet but I thought this might be of interest to some. I have so many text editors for my iPad/iPhone that I am not sure that I need another one but I will probably buy it anyway just to play around with it. Has anyone tried the app - any thoughts? Enabling Chromevox
Hi List, I installed the Chromevox extension in Google Chrome. I didn't notice any particular behavior different than before. Does someone know how to enable the extension? I want to try and use it without vo. In particular, to see how well it works with google docs, calendar, etc. And supposedly it works better than if you are using voiceover. Re: Enabling Chromevox
Hi, Marc, Open Google Chrome with VO on and go to preferences with command-comma. In the list of tabs, go to Extensions. Tab through and see if Chromevox is listed there. If it is, there is a checkbox to enable or disable it. Once you enable it, turn VO off. If it isn't listed, go to the link that says, "view gallery" and search for it. Once you find it, there will be an "add to Chrome" button. Do this, and wait a few minutes. It should start self-voicing and offering links to tutorials, etc. I just played with it, and Chromevox now works with Chrome preferences, which is a giant improvement. I may play with it some more now because of this important development. Re: Enabling Chromevox
Hi Teresa, It seems that chromevox is speaking now. But when i get to extensions and tab through there is no mention of chromevox. When i turn voiceover on all i hear is it saying "extensions" but it won't read any text. And I never did hear anything about a tutorial or gallery or anything like that. Are there hromevox commands other than tab that get it to speak certain detail? A command for increasing the speech rate? Thanks. Re: Enabling Chromevox
Hi, Marc, With VO, use VO-RIGHT to a:ess the extension properties. With Chromevox speaking, however, you can just turn VO off. You can access a quick key commands list by pressing command-control-period. Command-control is the key modifier sequence for Chromevox, also called ChVox. So the help list is ChVox-period, and the interactive tutorial is ChVox-H. You can navigate through content with ChVox arrows. Re: Enabling Chromevox
Hi, Marc, Yes, your mileage may vary, depending on which versions of Chrome and VO and Chromevox you may be using. When you feel comfortable doing it, you might want to install the latest versions of Chrome and Chromevox. In the extension preferences, there is a "remove" button for each extension. Try using Chrome with VO off and see what happens while chromevox is speaking. HTh, Teresa "Visualize whirled peas." On Mar 16, 2012, at 5:01 PM, Marc Sutton wrote: > Thanks Teresa. Re: VoiceOver
h. not sure how that happens. I have encountered this problem elsewhere and I typically either give up or change the user-agent string to fool the website into working properly. btw, that change agent string feature is available on the development version of Safari (called webkit). one other thing you might try is to force the mouse cursor to be where the voiceover one is and then left click the mouse (without moving it of course). this tends to work around the problem that voiceover sometimes has. -eric On Mar 16, 2012, at 6:32 PM, Dawn Johnson wrote: > Hi Eric, Yes.
