The only > one I could find locally > was a GE for $50 that has way too much sidetone to be usable. The world has changed. For five years or more, cordless phones have outsold corded, so mfrs. make fewer corded models, and apparently none with built-in answerers. Pan still makes a couple of 2-liners, including http://www.ablecomm.com/pakxgoba2ph.html Cortelco (http://www.ablecomm.com/ittcor2linsp.html and TMC ( http://www.ablecomm.com/tmcvmul2phin.html ) also make good ones. You could also use the Panasonic KX-TG4000 4-line "wireless" system (WITH ANSWERING). The base phone has a conventional wired handset. You can use it with just two lines if you want, and sell the cordless handset that comes with it on eBay. See http://www.ablecomm.com/bfreshipinus26.html If you're in the biz, you can get these from distribs such as Teledynamics. Michael N. Re: KX-T: external feature access on -1 KXTD1232
The -1 does support EFA from an SLT. To make it work, you have to flash the hook switch then press 6. That will tell the system to pass the flash on to the co line. If you want to retire the TD1232, you could consider upgrading to the new TDA series. You will be able to keep the same phones and get some new features. Or if you are a do-it-yourselfer and you are already familiar with the 1232, you could consider just upgrading your cabinet to the recent version -7 (or -6). Then from the user point of view, all the operations would stay the same. KX-T: Panasonic Factoid #2
Washington Parts is not in Washington After my last few orders took an exceptionally long time to place due to poor line quality and a percieved "accent barrier", I just asked the nice lady "where are you anyway". The answer was Manila, Phillipines. The warehouse is still in WA but the person yer talking to is half a world away. I can't imagine not being able to say to a caller, "hold on a sec while I go out back and check" -Joe _ KX-T Mailing list --- http://kxthelp.com/ Subscription changes: http://kxthelp.com/mailman/listinfo/kxt

It took longer than I expected to come back, so I called to check on it. I spoke to someone in Massachusetts, who told me "your receiver is either in New Jersey or Mexico. We're not sure." Michael N.
