The best way to use the operator function from the TVS is to assign "0" as
operator extension so that you may then assign any mailbox as operator's
mailbox - if you specify an extension number as operator you run into
mailbox ownership problems with the TVS. Just say zero and specify in the
kxt the destination of zero (ope 1 and 2). Be sure to set TVS day (and
NIGHT) ope 1 no answer and busy to leave message. This could be a part of
it.

Good luck! Feel free to reply to MY address.

2002-06-20 Thread Charles P.

Just to clarify, the tvs has a setting for the operator extension AND the
operator mailbox. I usually leave the operator extension as 0, then it uses
what ever ext. number you set as operator in the ksu. But the tvs has 998 as
the default operator BOX. That can be changed to the number of the operator
extension (101). When you do that, the operator messages will be left in
101 and the message light in 101 will work, too.

Correct. The programming engineers seem to want you to use box 998 and
specify an operator's extension. It *will*, then, light the light on that
extension, but the specified operator extension cannot own any other
(personal) mailbox. I do not like the "General Delivery Mailbox" and avoid
any usage of it and even re-record the GDM greeting prompts with something
like"This mailbox is not in use. Please dial #8, 101".
