KX-T: KX-T185 DID Unit Question
Simple question, but different answers... Does the KX-T185 DID unit support 2-way DID? Does anyone know this for sure and not a guess? Thanks - Do You Yahoo!? KX-T: TD 1232 -Disa option
Hello, 1- Is there anyway to use DISA card , and at same time restricte callers to dial certain extension numbers? I tried to select "all security" and programed " Auto Attendant" , But it doesn't work. 2- Does anyone tried to power down "slave" cabinet in a double cabinet system ( 2 *TD1232) for long time without risk or damage to interconnection card or "master" cabinet ? thanks in advance. KX-T: Company greeting gets cut off
We have a KX/TD-1232 and TVS200. The start of the company greeting is getting cut off so callers frequently only hear "..nk you for calling..." or even just "...you for calling...". We've tried adding some delay between the 'start recording' tone and when we start speaking the message, but this doesn't change anything. The message sounds fine when we play it back after recording. Short of adding a few coughs or grunts at the beginning of the message, does anyone know of a way to ensure that callers will hear the entire message? The problem seems worse when calling from cell phones, but happens on land line calls as well. Randy, Do you know ...?... because you've actually done it ? I'm saying that because I'm recalling a statement from a Pana Instructor that indicated to me that it was one-way... KX-T: Re: KX-T185 DID Unit Question
Ameritech in my area does... I was talking to them today about pricing. I was figuring on one-way (incoming) then they asked me if I needed one-way or two-way. Thus the reason for this discussion. If it actually can support two-way, then it changes the whole way I was going to do this install... "Phonejack.com" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: Yes, it will support 2 way DID. Re: KX-T: Re: KX-T185 DID Unit Question
Mark, I have a KX-TD185 module installed in my 1232, and it would APPEAR that it supports 2-way DID. The programming supplement has info on it and the programming locations seem to exist. It lets me set the outgoing format to Immediate or Wink start and the Wink Timeout value. In theory it would work, but Verizon will not provide me with 2-way DID on an analog trunk! Unfortunately, I have to maintain separate POTS lines just for outgoing calls. Verizon explained that they consider analog DID to be a "mature product"...that means they're not doing any further development on it. So 2-way is not available, nor is any additional services or features. They'd rather sell digital services. Before you go much further you should check to see if your telco even offers 2-way DID. -Ian - Original Message - From: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Phonejack.com" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; "Panasonic help" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Tuesday, May 28, 2002 9:53 PM Subject: RE: KX-T: Re: KX-T185 DID Unit Question > Randy, > > Do you know ...?... because you've actually done it ? > > I'm saying that because I'm recalling a statement from a Pana Instructor > that indicated to me that it was one-way... > > I'd like to be wrong I could use an app with 2way DID on the 185... > > Thanks Randy, > > Mark > > -Original Message- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of > Phonejack.com > Sent: Tuesday, May 28, 2002 7:12 PM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]; Panasonic help > Subject: KX-T: Re: KX-T185 DID Unit Question > > > Yes, it will support 2 way DID. KX-T: KX-TVS50 Installation Question
Hello, I've purchased a KX-TVS50 Voice Mail System, though I may have jumped in too soon. Can the unit be connected to regular, analog, home telephone lines? I realize, I won't be able to take advantage of many of the features the system offers. But can I connect it to two home business lines and get it to operate as a voice answering system? Your assistance is greatly appreciated. Fw: KX-T: KX-TVS50 Installation Question
Carl, Thanks for the help. I'm not sure whether to reply to you or the group. But, can you answer two more questions for me? Does the unit connect to the center pair, when using analog circuits, or the outer pair? What's the deal with programming? Is it only done through the RS232 interface? Should a terminal screen appear when I connect? I'm familiar with terminal communications but I can't seen to connect to the TVS50. Thanks again for the help. KX-T: Re: KX-TVS50 Installation Question
Well, Yes it can... but you will lose MANY MANY MANY features, and programming it will be very disappointing. You can set up some features through the terminal, but every time you want to check a message or record any greetings you will need to call your other phone line to get into the system! You would be better off considering a small phone system for your home, or go back to a 2 line answering machine.
