Just for fun, when you put devices on the KSU, do you jumper and bridge
only the pairs you need, or do you bridge all the pairs? Maybe you have a
stray data pair multipled through something funny.

I think you already heard your answer. It has been my experience that
transmitters near a phone switch are a major no-no. Since it you found
they had one near it, I would think it would be the problem. I have seen
it with several systems, but, the Panasonic is really susceptible, since
it is in a plastic, unshielded case.

No, there is no transmitter near the ksu or the wiring. Since they do have
some Nextels, I will be checking more closely to be sure, but I believe they
are only using some handhelds and I've only seen them on a different floor
in the building.

I'm pretty sure I'll find a jack wired up wrong, maybe to a modem or fax
machine that is shorting out a data pair. Since I didn't do the wiring, I
can't vouch for quality workmanship...

I'll post what I find.

RE: KX-T: Re: D1232 power trouble UPDATE

2002-05-26 Thread [EMAIL PROTECTED]

As I said before,

1. Try to find out if it happens on a schedule.
2. As if anyone has added a new piece of equipment, computer, laptop, fax, etc.
3. If all else fails. Make an inventory of every piece of equipment that is
connected to the PBX jacks.
4. Get a helper from the company, go off hook for about 30-40 seconds on
every item to see if you can duplicate it.
You want to do this from scratch starting at Jack 01 A & B, and work your
way up to Jack 32 A & B.
This will take time so only as a last resort.

AND

While we are talking about time...
You said you replaced the PBX?

Now you keep track of your time and bill for it.

Wolfgang

KX-T: disabling leave mesage

2002-05-26 Thread Moh Irfan (IT Staff, i-Forte)

Dear all,

I want to disable feature of leaving a message, for now I just turn off
voice prompt 781 on user1 ( To leave a messsage, press 1) to make a caller
don't leave a message. But the caller still can press 1, even the voice
prompt was turn off. What I want is the caller can't press 1 or other
feature number on the default.

Best regard,

Moh. Irfan
