[kdenlive] [Bug 465912] New: Title outline effect covers up the text itself
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=465912 Bug ID: 465912 Summary: Title outline effect covers up the text itself Classification: Applications Product: kdenlive Version: 22.12.2 Platform: Flatpak OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Effects & Transitions Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org Reporter: zcxv...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 156359 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=156359&action=edit I just don't see how this is intended. SUMMARY *** The outline effect in Title Clip will cover up the text it's trying to outline, It should only go outward, not inward. *** STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Add a title clip and input some random texts. 2. Adding the value to the outline property. OBSERVED RESULT The 0utline devour its message. At best it makes the texts thinner then they're supposed to, At worst the original colour got eaten up completely. EXPECTED RESULT The outline simply acts like a background layer for the text to sit on. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Fedora Linux 37 KDE Plasma Version: 5.26.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.103.0 Qt Version: 5.15.8 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION This is literally the only app I know that have this behaviour with outline, and I've used a lot of apps. If this is somehow intended effect, please at least provides an option to toggle. It would be even better to be able to chain multiple outlines, set up gradients, Or using them as some kind of masks and setting them up with some kind of material node system, But for now all I want is being able to have an outline that makes my texts pop, without me having to constantly checking if some character got distorted too much to read without distraction. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kdenlive] [Bug 465976] New: [Wishlist] Adding BBcode support to Title bar
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=465976 Bug ID: 465976 Summary: [Wishlist] Adding BBcode support to Title bar Classification: Applications Product: kdenlive Version: unspecified Platform: Flatpak OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: Effects & Transitions Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org Reporter: zcxv...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 156409 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=156409&action=edit A quick example I made with Godot 4.0 RC2 RichTextLabel node. It was animated. SUMMARY *** Would be cool if we have some kind of option to enable BBcode (Bulletin Board Code) support. *** (I don't think the report template makes sense here so I got rid of it.) Say I've made a title card, and I want to make specific words stands out from the sentence, Maybe giving it a different color, different font and size, or make it bold or something, But trying to do so will make the whole sentence transform with it, The only way to do it, for now at least, is adding another text object, Setting it up with the intended parameters, And manually lining them up so it looks like they were in the same object. So what I want is: "Character level property manipulation", Like making a forum post, being able to only change the selected characters. But while we're here, I suggest we just makes a full blown BBcode editor. Give it a tab, after checking a box, users are granted with all kind of settings to play with. Please see attachment, I won't miss any other NLE if I can do this without dealing with PNG sequences. I have no idea how this can be implemented, or how hard it can hit the performance. Just a wish though, no harm in saying. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kdenlive] [Bug 481059] [Request] Making Razor tool cut snappable
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=481059 --- Comment #2 from zcxv...@gmail.com --- (In reply to farid from comment #1) > For more accurate cutting you can use the shift + r option that cuts exactly > where the cursor is at. That makes the cursor snaps onto my mouse. What I need is the cut SNAPS onto the cursor, not the other way around. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kdenlive] [Bug 481059] [Request] Making Razor tool cut snappable

What I need is the cut SNAPS onto > the cursor, not the other way around. Oh wait that was just shift in razor mode, if I shift in cursor mode it won't snap, so shift+r indeed do what I need, combined with alt+arrow it's not as many input as I currently do indeed... Pretty bad UX, but should be good enough for now. I still hope for regular snap though. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kdenlive] [Bug 481055] New: Audio preview for timeline plays when opening the window
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=481055 Bug ID: 481055 Summary: Audio preview for timeline plays when opening the window Classification: Applications Product: kdenlive Version: git-master Platform: Appimage OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: minor Priority: NOR Component: Video Display & Export Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org Reporter: zcxv...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY Dragging the cursor on the timeline will produce Audio preview, as intended, even if it's just one frame, it will play the audio of the frame. But when I minimize the Kdenlive window and get it back on again, Kdenlive will play the one frame audio as if I dragged the cursor. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Import an audio track or a video with audio 2. Put cursor onto a loud part 3. Minimize the window and Maximize again OBSERVED RESULT It plays sound for one frame EXPECTED RESULT Silent SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Kdenlive 24.02.0 RC2 Appimage Operating System: Fedora Linux 38 KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.9 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.113.0 Qt Version: 5.15.11 Kernel Version: 6.7.3-100.fc38.x86_64 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: X11 Processors: 12 × AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 6-Core Processor Memory: 31.3 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti/PCIe/SSE2 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kdenlive] [Bug 471257] Request for line spacing setting in Subtitle tool

[kdenlive] [Bug 481059] New: [Request] Making Razor tool cut snappable
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=481059 Bug ID: 481059 Summary: [Request] Making Razor tool cut snappable Classification: Applications Product: kdenlive Version: git-master Platform: Flatpak OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: User Interface Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org Reporter: zcxv...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- In my workflow, I often cut strips into pieces, to give them different transforming, effects or Subtitle content. And often times, I'll need strips on different tracks to sync on the slice, and the non-snappable Razor tool makes it a multiple steps tasks. I'll have to zooming the timeline really hard to make the frame perfect cut, or drag the strip multiple time to trigger auto snap afterwards. This really adds up A LOT throughout a project. I just need it to cut right the first click. Basically, right now the Razor tool cut EXACTLY where your mouse lands, and I really want it to auto snap onto cursor, other track's strips' beginning and end. Bonus point for option on what can trigger auto snap(cursor, strip start, strip end, effects etc), slider for the range (pixels or frames for measuring) of snapping taking place. This would save me TREMENDOUS time, I'd be extremely appreciating. Thanks ahead. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

There's a property in the Title tool called "Line Spacing", which decides how much space 2 text line will have in between, I'd love to have that setting in Subtitles tool as well. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
