[krita] [Bug 370316] Krita crashes when applying a transform mask on image

2016-10-29 Thread silva
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=370316

Hi Boudewijn,

When I said 'apply a transform mask', I meant make a selection (on a
portion of an image), copy that selection to a new layer and them apply a
transform mask on that layer. I have checked and it doesn't crash anymore!
However, it behaves a bit strange: If, after applying a transform mask, I
try to move the transformed layer, it moves randomly (not exactly following
the cursor/mouse). Hope that description helps! Thanks!

Yes, still happens on 3.0.91. If I switch to Safari or iTunes (for example)
and then back to Krita, it happens with some regularity (strangely enough,
not always). I thought it was only related to other apps using Wacom
pressure but I was wrong.

Wacom Tablet Issue

If I move the painting cursor outside the canvas, it changes to the resizing
dockers icon. If I move inside the canvas again, the resizing dockers icon
doesn't change to the painting cursor and I cannot draw/paint anymore.

The only thing I can do to make the painting cursor come back is if I lift the
pen from the tablet until it is not recognised by the tablet.
Needless to say that doing it constantly ruins the whole workflow and a pain to
use Krita.

I believe it only started to happen in version 4. I have tried older Krita
versions in the past and never had this issue.

I have also already reset the Wacom drivers, installed older driver versions,
reinstalled Krita, reinstalled the system and tried in OSX Sierra and High
Sierra. The issue is always present.

I even thought of eventually buying another tablet but I read the issue is also
present in Intuos (I have a Bamboo).

Krita is the only software I have that has that strange issue. I attached a
video for better understanding the issue.

Thanks a lot! Keep up the excellent work.

There's one step missing. After creating a transform mask, I apply a scale.
Only then I try to move it. What happens to me is that when I move the
Transform Mask (not the layer), it behaves strangely. When I drag it to the
left, it goes to the right. When I grab it upwards, it moves downwards...

When I try to render an animation as Gif/Matroska/Mpeg4, two of the following
things happen:

A) Opens a Box stating "Encoding Frames" but nothing happens (the bar doesn't
leave the 0%)

B) Opens an Error Box stating: "Could not save png (...) Reason: Copying the
temporary file failed (...) Cannot create file for output"

I have FFMpeg installed in /usr/local/bin/ffmpeg and have previously used it to
encode several video files with success using the terminal. Besides that, Krita
seems to automatically find its correct location (in the render animation box).
Is there a step missing?

Thanks!

I cannot right-click with the stylus button since version 3.1 on OS Sierra.
Oddly enough, when I try to change a Canvas Input Setting with a right-click,
it inputs as left-click.
Because of that, I cannot create a 'new frame' into the timeline, for example.
And when right-clicking to open the Pop-Up Palette, the color picker inside the
color triangle moves to where I've clicked (doesn't stay with the previous
color selected, as in older versions).
The right click works as expected on other apps and on the OS. The issue only
happens with Krita. I have already contacted Wacom and they said that it might
be related to the specific app, and most probably not a bug in the drivers.
I don't know if it helps, but I've found this article with a similar issue:

  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: General
  Assignee: m...@baloneygeek.com

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. open Spectacle by pressing printscreen key
2. set 'Area' to 'Rectangular region'
2. check 'Quit after manual Save or Copy'
3. click on 'Configure...' button and make sure 'When launching Spectacle' is
set to 'Take full screen screenshot'

You are right. OSD does not appear when scrolling is set to 'Touchpad edges'
instead of 'Two fingers'.
There is something wrong with my touchpad or libinput because frequently a
webpage scrolls up in the internet browser when I try to open a link in
background doing middle-click with two-fingers. This behavior occurs even on
Gnome.

[plasmashell] [Bug 449348] Unable to launch recently used apps from "history" and "frequently used" tabs

2022-02-13 Thread Patrick Silva
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=449348

I can reproduce with apps launched after restarting plasma by running
'plasmashell --replace' with krunner.
Possibly related to bug 439159.

1. restarting plasma by running 'plasmashell --replace' with krunner
2. launch an app via kickoff (tested Ark on my system)
3. close the app used in the step 2
3. try to re-open the app used in the step 2 via kickoff > Places > History

Result: nothing happens.
