STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. use Wayland session
2. set display scale to 125% in Display Configuration KCM
3. open Kate
4. move mouse pointer over Kate
OBSERVED RESULT
mouse pointer movement is laggy due to 35 fps
EXPECTED RESULT
60 fps and smooth mouse pointer movement
