[kdenlive] [Bug 502610] Clip Mixing stopped working on project
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=502610 --- Comment #7 from Jean-Baptiste Mardelle --- Ok, mystery solved. Clip mixes only work on enabled tracks, and all tracks in your project are disabled. You need en enable the tracks by clicking in the track tags (V1, V2, .A1, ..). Shift+A will toggle all tracks from inactive to active.. The tags will then turn green and mixes will work. This allows you to add mixed only to audio for example. However we really need to display some informative feedback in cases where no track is enabled. The widget now opens in an apparently random and unusable position, as you can see from the attached screenshot in the previous comment. IMHO KDE should implement some sort of tests for multi-monitor layouts before every single point release because what I can see is that most regressions I stumble upon are related to windows or widgets positioning/geometry. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Without reproducible pattern or more info, it will be difficult to try to figure out what's happening. Thank you for reporting the issue. Let me ask some follow-up questions: 1. Thank you for the version info, Tellico 3.5.3 and Qt 5.12. That let's me rule out anything related to Qt6 2. How do you add the covers? Do you scan them? Do you add and use the "Save link only" option? Or simply the "Select image..." button? 3. What is your configuration for storing the images? In the Config dialog, General settings, it is either in the data file, in common directory, or directory relative to file 4. Does Tellico ever show an error dialog saying it can't find an image? If you run it from the command-line, is there any debug output? Thank you for your help. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=477016 AdamKafei changed: What|Removed |Added CC||ian@hotmail.co.uk --- Comment #24 from AdamKafei --- I'm experiencing a similar phenomenon when I have VRR set to "Always" and it defaults to 48hz instead of the set desktop refresh rate of 120hz and when short animations play (such as steam animated avatars), the refresh rate cycles through the range repeatedly rather than just setting to 120hz. I took a short video on my phone ( https://youtu.be/nj7FB1_pWw8 ), I would use "Automatic" VRR which appears not to have this particular issue on my configuration but that gives me a black screen every time it switches on or off which makes it unusable. It would be very nice if the "Always" VRR refresh rate would set to the desktop refresh rate and only 'unlock' when "Automatic" VRR would enable. [krita] [Bug 502707] New: Keyboard shortcuts blocked after running certain scripts
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=502707 Bug ID: 502707 Summary: Keyboard shortcuts blocked after running certain scripts Classification: Applications Product: krita Version: 5.2.9 Platform: macOS (DMG) OS: macOS Status: REPORTED Severity: minor Priority: NOR Component: Scripting Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: r.margare...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY This bug concerns actions which normally display a dialog, but instead run with last used settings when activated via script. Encountered with Color to Alpha and tested with filters such as Blur. After running one of these actions in a script, Krita keyboard shortcuts become unresponsive. This does not affect system-wide shortcuts like Cmd+Z or Cmd+Q. It affects some but not all Canvas Input shortcuts. The effect can be unblocked by opening any dialog or unfocusing the application, but not by opening popups such as Patterns or switching tabs. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Run `Krita.instance().action('krita_filter_blur').trigger()` in a script. 2. Input any Krita-specific keyboard shortcut, e.g. x to swap colors: note no effect. 3. Open and close Krita Preferences. Note restored function. OBSERVED RESULT Shortcuts have no effect until "unstuck" by some action above. EXPECTED RESULT All shortcuts work as assigned. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=502710 Bug ID: 502710 Summary: Windows: Kdenlive defaults to 2 rendering threads regardless of CPU thread count Workaround Discovered: Classification: Applications Product: kdenlive Version: 24.12.3 Platform: Microsoft Windows OS: Microsoft Windows Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Rendering & Export Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org Reporter: smokingwhe...@yahoo.com Target Milestone: --- Description: On Windows, Kdenlive version 24.12.3 consistently defaults to 2 threads for rendering in the environment settings, even on multi-core CPUs. The setting appears not to save properly, and performance is limited until the issue is resolved. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install Kdenlive on Windows (tested on Windows 11) 2. Open Settings → Configure Kdenlive → Environment 3. Observe the thread count is set to 2, regardless of hardware 4. Manually change it to a higher number (e.g. 15), save 5. Restart Kdenlive 6. Thread count resets to 2 Expected Result: Thread count should default to a value based on detected CPU threads and remain persistent between sessions. Observed Result: Thread count resets to 2 on every startup. Workaround Discovered: ✅ Reinstall Kdenlive — after the second install, Kdenlive correctly detected and defaulted to 15 threads (on a 16-thread CPU). This suggests the initial config or hardware detection is faulty on first install. System Info: - OS: Windows 11 Pro - Kdenlive Version: 24.12.3 - CPU: Xeon E5-2620 v4 (8 cores / 16 threads) - RAM: 256 GB DDR4 ECC - GPU: GTX 1050 Ti Severity: ⚠️ Moderate — significantly impacts rendering performance on affected systems -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=148450 piedro changed: What|Removed |Added CC||piedro.kul...@gmail.com --- Comment #5 from piedro --- An entry of trash_disable=true in ~/local/share/ktrashrc disables individual Trash folders for individual mounts. Sadly this gets overwritten once a user changes any trash-bin settings for any "Trash" folder via GUI. It seems to me that the whole file gets created fresh instead of adding or editing single lines. But as the functionality for disabling individual "Trash"-bins on individual mounts already exists, it would be a really nice (and supposedly simple) addition to KDE - also a permanent solution too this problem here! - to just add a toggle "on / off" in the trash bin settings in the KDE system-settings and the Dolphin-settings. [plasmashell] [Bug 502720] New: Plasma Not Respecting "Do Nothing" for Suspend Session Option on Laptop
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=502720 Bug ID: 502720 Summary: Plasma Not Respecting "Do Nothing" for Suspend Session Option on Laptop Classification: Plasma Product: plasmashell Version: 6.3.4 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Power management & brightness Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: eamonn...@protonmail.com Target Milestone: 1.0 SUMMARY In the Power Management settings, for both "On AC Power" and "On Battery", I have "When inactive" setting set to "Do Nothing". I have had this set on all of my devices running KDE Plasma for many years. On my Desktop PC and my laptop, both running KDE Plasma Wayland 6.3.4, I have this setting configured. However on my laptop, this is not respected, and my session still locks after inactivity. I believe it is after around 5 minutes of inactivity. This is NOT observed on my Desktop PC, only on my laptop, and only after updating to Plasma 6.3.X. Prior to this, it worked as expected. It happens regardless of whether I am connected to AC Power or On Battery. On my Steam Deck, a battery-powered handheld running the latest SteamOS Preview with I believe Plasma 6.2.0, the setting works as expected. I am not sure why it works on my Desktop PC and not my laptop. Perhaps the presence of a battery is what makes the difference? STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Configure the Power Management settings on a Laptop (and potentially other battery-powered devices) to have their "When inactive" setting set to "Do Nothing". 2. Leave the device inactive. 3. After a short period of time, the device will go to the Lock Screen and, if left long enough, will go into Standby with the screen off. OBSERVED RESULT Plasma is not respecting the "When inactive: Do Nothing" setting on some devices. It continues to permit the device to lock. EXPECTED RESULT Plasma should respect the "When inactive: Do Nothing" setting, as it has worked on all previous Plasma versions. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: EndeavourOS KDE Plasma Version: 6.3.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.12.0 Qt Version: 6.9.0 Kernel Version: 6.14.2-arch1-1 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 16 × AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS w/ Radeon 780M Graphics Memory: 30.7 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: AMD Radeon 780M ADDITIONAL INFORMATION - I do not have another laptop to test with on an up-to-date release of KDE Plasma Wayland. - I understand there were changes, though generally visual, to comply with a recent EU law. However I believe this change is simply to display a warning, and not to change/remove any existing settings or behaviours. It would be disappointing if I had to put up with my device locking after inactivity, when all of my other devices are configured to not do this :( -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Committed on 12/04/2025 at 17:33. Pushed by redstrate into branch 'master'. kcms/tablet: Add a confirmation before saving calibration settings There's still a UX issue with the calibration tool, where it's easy to create a broken calibration matrix that makes the device unusable and there's no clear way to reset it back to a usable state. This tries to fix it from multiple angles: 1. Add a reset timer and a new confirmation stage to the calibration process. This should ensure the user has consciously tested the new calibration before stopping the process. 2. Add a reset button next to the "Calibrate" button to reset it back to default. This does the same thing as the "Defaults" button without resetting the rest of your tablet settings. 3. Add a label that states that if your tablet no longer works, try resetting the calibration matrix first. Committed on 12/04/2025 at 18:15. Pushed by cullmann into branch 'master'. Fix search wrapping behavior at boundaries Issues: - At the second-to-last line, "Find Next" doesn't wrap to the start. - At the second line, "Find Previous" doesn't wrap to the end. These issues occurred because the initial value of startLine equaled endLine, causing the loop to terminate after one cycle. Changes: - Added a continueLoop flag: In wrap mode, the loop only terminates when hasWrapped is true. - Added an invertDirection flag to control the continueLoop flag in no-wrap mode. [digikam] [Bug 463197] UI locks up / unresponsive with large collection (During Search)
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=463197 --- Comment #37 from spiesant --- (In reply to caulier.gilles from comment #36) > @spiesant, > > Before to continue this VERY constructive talk in this room, please read > that urgently: > > https://kde.org/code-of-conduct/ > > Notes: > - Do not try to explain to me how to manage an open source project created > in 2001. > - About your comment 11, seriously, you think that i have been coding for a > few weeks only. > > Thank you for your consideration and your contribution, it's always a > pleasure... > > Gilles Caulier I read it in full. I apologize if that response was overly abrasive - I will admit that I let my frustration get the best of me and shouldn't have. Not that it excuses my frustrated way of responding, but hopefully there's at least some understanding why this sequence of events could lead to frustration: * I posted an issue & attempted to engage in constructive discussion. In 2022, that led up to a comment that I thought *might* provide provide context to push it forward. It may or may not have been useful. But as it was ignored with no response that directly addresses the points it made, I don't know. * For 2.5 years I waited, occasionally pinging in hopes that someone might reply. (Yes, I do realize this is an open-source project and its developers are volunteers with no obligation to reply. I'm only attempting to convey the sequence of events.) * In 2025, a different user joined the thread and posted an unrelated issue. * The unrelated issue was *immediately* addressed, and my topic closed. * I responded that my issue was not addressed. * You responded again, and it's possible that at this point I misinterpreted your reply. My interpretation of your "simple no?" comment was that you were saying i.e. "duh, it's simple to see that it's fixed." that may have been wrong. Try to put yourself in my shoes. I've been watching this issue for 2.5 years, someone else jumps in, changes the subject, and the issue is closed. So I overreacted. I apologize. > About your comment 11, seriously, you think that i have been coding for a few > weeks only. * I assume you're referring to comment 12 (comment 11 was from you). * If the suggestions in my comment 12 are incorrect/irrelevant, that's exactly what I've been asking for a response for 2.5 years. Maybe they're stupid and maybe not, but I can't know if there's no meaningful response, can I? * (This also seems like a sarcastic/abrasive of a comment per the code of conduct, is it not?) > Do not try to explain to me how to manage an open source project created in > 2001. Honestly I'm not sure what this refers to exactly. My goal is really quite simple: to try to make progress toward identifying this issue. As I have to keep using Lightroom in a Windows VM, every so often I'm reminded "man I wish I could just use Digikam." So I try it again, see that it has the same issue, come here to check for progress/replies, find that there's none. My intention is not to stir up trouble. It's just to try to get it fixed. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[frameworks-kglobalaccel] [Bug 502520] Pressing Fn+S on laptop keyboard causes repeated instances of Spectacle to be launched
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=502520 John Kizer changed: What|Removed |Added Resolution|--- |WAITINGFORINFO Summary|DDoS via Undocumented |Pressing Fn+S on laptop |Shortcut (Press 2 Kyes, |keyboard causes repeated |100% Repeatable)|instances of Spectacle to ||be launched Status|REPORTED|NEEDSINFO CC||john.ki...@proton.me --- Comment #1 from John Kizer --- Hi - if you go to a virtual terminal and run showkey -a , then try to press Fn+S, what shows up there? I'm asking as Fn modifies what key is sent to the operating system, if there is an assigned Fn function for it on your keyboard. On at least my laptop, S doesn't have such a function, so Fn+S just types an S. Your keyboard appears to be sending something to the device when Fn+S is pressed - possibly getting stuck as well - but what is getting sent by the keyboard would be helpful to understand if there is possibly a KDE bug here. For what it's worth, "DDoS" refers to a distributed denial of service attack - many different computers sending packets to overwhelm one system - a different thing from a freeze or crash :-) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
