[gentoo-dev] app-arch/rpm needs a maintainer

We would have appreciated beeing warned through p.mask or -dev, or receiving an explanation in the commit message. Other major distros still maintain this package, and are able to compile it against db-4.2 [1] (thanks to ulm on IRC for the link). Unless you see a downside, i propose one of us (ulm|falco) take care of x11-libs/hotkeys, restore the deleted ebuild, and upgrade to a db-4.2 compatible version in a reasonably short timeframe. Sorry - as I explained in the bug I didn't realize that there was much interest in this package since it hadn't been touched in almost 5 years and had no maintainer. Last rites seemed a bit silly to me at the time, but now I see there is still interest so reviving it is quite allright. That said, the maintenance of RPM is still up for grabs. [gentoo-dev] Scheduled maintenance downtime for svn.gentoo.org: Mo (Today), 19 UTC
Hi devs, due to the expat and curl upgrade I need a downtime for svn.gentoo.org. After the upgrade of expat at least apr-util and subversion need to be recompiled in order to work correctly again. curl will not cause such an impact as there is only one package on that machine which depends on it: git. And AFAIK only the devmanual is hosted with that VCS. As I don't expect that the upgrade will take a long time, I set the downtime to 19 UTC today. That will be in roughly 3 hours. During that time you are not able to use any svn-command on svn.gentoo.org. I've been toying with the idea of taking it, or at least fixing it up a bit so it doesn't look so scary and hoping someone else picks it up. I must have some disorder that makes me want to save hopeless causes.
