Grep does sound useful and I will be glad to look that over. With questsI do all the usual talking to mobs etc, it's more that some are completely unknown, for example on arcase at the moment there is a quest "stop the abuse of a child" and no idea even which area it is in. I don't mind searching and talking to mobs, but Kordan is pretty big and other areas are manifestly bigger, plus of course there are quests that don't really have a specific start but only get fulfilled by doing something else in the area, eg, there are lots of children kicking around but finding which one is being abused is somewhat of a task :D. That's why just saying what area quests start in would be handy, especially on arcase and probably the mainland too. Re: [Audyssey] Help with a quest in ALter Aeon.
Yes, you just need to knock the door where lora is standing and kill the prisoner and then you have to deal with some demi-cats or kitttens. then just follow the direction you did not enter from and you will find the pit fiend sleeping. depending on your level and class, it is simple to kill. Of course, I was level 24 druid and hit it once with a fist of earth and it died. Re: [Audyssey] Barbie, was Adult Games
The Japanese - Original have a thing about pubic hair as well. in all Manga movies and comic books, along with Playboys and adult magazines, they actually have warehouses of people who scratch off the pubic hair. Just a Japanese thing. Though i have seen a kid's cartoon from Japan who's main character, a Raccoon, crushes his opponents with his testicles. Seems a little Bass Ackwars to me, but what the heck. Apparently he had to do this a few times before they got the idea! Very few early made in the first year or so, 1959 - 1960 Barbies have vague nipples - they are not super-prominent, but can be discerned when compared with other Barbies. - Original Message - From: "Raul A. I remember one of the Barbie line coming out with pregnant Barbie and parents didn't like that. Oh sure, it's ok for Barbie to look and dress like a scank, but to show off the results of what might happen, no way. She definitely was one of the more realistic characters in the game. Although, I think the most realistic was Stacey in terms of her willingness to have sex with Travis. After all, the two use to date, were once romantically involved, and remained good friends. I can see Stacey willing to give it one last try to see if she can perhaps lore him away from Samantha and thus that situation was very believable. The grand winner for most unbelievable character in the game, at least in my book, was Beth. Ok, maybe she might be willing to put out for Travis after he rubs her back and so on, but the entire bit with the jar and cream was a bit over the top. I didn't know to laugh or be grosed out as she talked about using his cream for her personal desserts. That was both totally disgusting and funny at the same time. Lol! Cheers! On 1/6/12, Raul A. [Audyssey] question about mush client
Hi, i've been using mush client eexclusively to play muds online. Started out with alteraeon (which is the game that mush client was designed for), but I have also played cyberassault and Toril: the sojourner's home) as well on it. I recently uninstalled it because the mush client was acting buggy and the window's title bar said "HO" instead of Toril when I would play that game. I downloaded the full install from http://backup.mush-z.com/ When I install it though, the installer does fine and I am then confronted with an option to add jaws support, which I do not install. I click close when the successful install screen comes up. The client then does an auto update to the newest version and tells me that the update is successful and the changelog opens in notepad. I read it and closed it. The thing is a window that has the title bar stating "setup" is still on the screen, along with a window that has the location of the mush client subfolders. I cannot close either one of these windows and even using windows task manager can't close these window. Am i supposed to simply wait for these windows to close? Window eyes cannot read any text in either window, so I am at a loss. Also, when I try and enter the log on info for toril, I hit the combo for "new" under the file menu option in mush client after restarting my system (without closing those windows) and the output buffer opens (which should be a shift control o command, but the "new" command is shift control N. It ended that way because Liam was intending on creating a sequel, Super Liam 2, where that scene is explained in further detail. As for a main character or hero dying at the end of a game that's actually been done many times in mainstream games. Usually it is intended as a cliff hanger for the next game in the series and it turns out the hero doesn't actually die but survives it in some way, or is succeeded by an apprentice type character who picks up the adventure. For example, one game that comes to mind is Tomb Raider IV: Last Revelation. At the end of the game after Lara Croft places the amulet in the niche on the wall Set's temple begins to collapse and Lara tries to escape only to apparently fall to her death only inches away from the door way with Dr. Von Croy looking on. It actually turns out in Tomb Raider VI: Angel of Darkness that Lara survived the fall, and comes looking for Dr. Von Croy only to walk in when he is being murdered by art thieves. the point here is that Edos Interactive added a cliff hanger, a bit of mystery to the end of Last Revelation, in order to get people interested in what happened to Lara Croft. In order to get the full story they had to get Angel of Darkness which basically explains what happened. Same idea applies here with Super Liam. Cheers! I've got the same problem with the spacial distortion in my head.Just wanted to know how to do it so I could solve the alteraeon quest in Gads. Thanks Keith - Original Message - From: dark To: Gamers Discussion list Sent: Friday, June 27, 2014 8:11 AM Subject: Re: [Audyssey] chess and the blind My personal advice would be to get a tactile chess set (sometimes called a braille chess set, even though they don't have braille on them), and start playing live against a human. To explain these are sets where there are holes in each square on the board and the peaces are on pegs so you can put your mits on the board without knocking them over, one side (usually the white, though not always), has pins on the top to tell them apart. I'm not sure where you'd get one from in your part of the world, they tend to be sold by the same places who sell braille cards, dice etc. Personally, while I understand chess notation, I find it near impossible to hold spacial information about the board in mind without the board. I want to put my hand on the white knight and my other finger on the square it will move to, and then put my fingers (and to a very much lesser extent my disfunctional eyeballs), on the surrounding squares and see if that move will be a bad or good one. This is why I've never got on with the various audio Chess games like BGChess challenge, Kchess elite etc. Sinse while they have some good audio overviews for the board, fundamentally you are still just getting the information square by square, and I don't find myself able to old enough spacial information about the board in mind for that sort of overview to really help me or make it possible for me to play chess. Of course this is me, and I will freely admit my spacial coordination is pretty cruddy, (even in mobility I tend to substitute routes and land mark memory instead of working out where I am spacially), you might be different though I'm guessing by your comment you could be in a similar position, hence my suggestion of a tactile chess set. The moves are set up using very old door opening code to make things happen. It's a relic from a more primitive age of building. If the audiogames.net walk through no longer exists for some reason, anyone who is interested can contact me off list and I can provide a walk through, assuming mine's still accurate. I know some changes were recently made to that area to help deal with some of the whacky syntax etc, but revamping the area would be tricky. When I completed the deed myself, I was actually talking to the original builder Islaine. She had me play through all the chess problems on a board. Took me about 3 and a half hours one morning. [Audyssey] Oregon Trails?
Does anyone know if there is a blind friendly version of Origon Trails out there in the world? I remember playing this game during school in the 5th grade, and I thought it would be nice to try it out again. For those not in the nkow, it is a game that makes you think how much of a particular supply you need to have to travel a certain distance, and you have a certain number of turns to figure it out, otherwise, you lose. Re: [Audyssey] Multiple playable characters
is this weekly mutant game online? If so, is there some way to join? Sounds like something like X-men or Teenage mutant ninja turtles (both of which I love, roleplaying games (pen and paper), and old video games when I could see) Keith - Original Message - From: "dark" To: "Gamers Discussion list" Sent: Monday, January 16, 2012 5:03 AM Subject: Re: [Audyssey] Multiple playable characters Hi Tom. That is perfectly true and in fact the way you've built the wrestling game sounds extremely logical, however this wasn't exactly what I was thinking of when I raised the topic of multiple characters, sinse your wrestling game, even though it is obviously themed around wrestling, sounds like it uses character stats and combat far more like an rpg, indeed what you've said about strength and speed could be equally well represented in Entombed, D&D, 7th sea or any other reasonably good turn based combat system. In such systems as you said, it's the differences in the characters' stats and what combat actions the player decides upon in order to most prominantly bennifit from those differences that will win the day, whether it's a wrestling match, a fight with swords and magic, or (as in the weekly mutants game I play), a fight in a modern day setting betwene super heroes and villains. When i speak about different characters in games, I was rather more thinking about action based 2D or fps games, that usually have just the one character. there, the environment and dangers faced by the character will be the same, but it is the players own reactions, ability to learn the game and also learn how that character handles from an instinctive basis that will make as much difference as the inherent difference betwene the character and enemies. For instance, in Mega man x4, you can play as either x or zero. X fights with the usual mega man style buster, which can fire either several small bullits or be charged to fire a larger and more powerful shot. he also gets different projectile weapons by defeating each boss, and can gain armour created for him by Dr. Light that gives him several advantages such as taking half damage, enhancing his buster or letting him dash in mid air. Zero however fights with his Z saber (similar to a light saber). This is only a close range weapon and has no charge attack (he doesn't get that until the Mega man zero series), but can cover a wider area vertically as well as do combos. Zero can also perform a double jump, letting him be more mobile in the air than X, and instead of projectile weapons, he gets techniques with his sword such as a spinning slash attack in the air or a rising slash. Thus, while X remains at a distance, avoiding projectiles and chucking in powerful shots, Zero needs to mix things up, gett in close and use his techniques to play in a far more fluid style, chaining the rising slash into an areal slash for instance. It's also interesting that some sections or enemies that one character has trouble with, are absolutely destroyed by the other. For instance most bosses are far harder with Zero because you need to get in close and because he doesn't always have an obvious weapon weakness to do super damage like X, however the final form of Sigma I found incredibly easy with Zero thanks to his ability to block shots with his sabre and double jump. This is the sort of thing I mean, two characters in an action setting that go through largely the same environment, but possess overall different properties or weapons that mean the gameplay completely changes. Re: [Audyssey] Multiple playable characters
where can I find out more about BGT? - Original Message - From: "Thomas Ward" To: "Gamers Discussion list" Sent: Monday, January 16, 2012 9:00 PM Subject: Re: [Audyssey] Multiple playable characters Hi Dark, Yeah, I understood what you were getting at. My basic point of using my wrestling game as an example is that the programming techniques are identical to those I'd use for Megaman, Golden Ax, Ninja Turtles, Mario, or any other game where there are multiple playable characters. You start out by creating a generic player class object and set all the initial values to 0. If the end user selects the Zero character from the menu the player object is then initialized with the default weapons and stats for the Zero character. If the end user decided to use X instead you'd Initialize the player object with the X character's default stats and weapons. From that point on when your program accesses the player object it will respond accordingly to whatever stats are stored in the player object. There is no need to program the game to react differently from character to character because the player object acts as a global interface to all the characters in the game. Since BGT is becoming quite popular I'll demonstrate this concept in Angelscript. #include "player.bgt" // Include player class Player g_player; // Initialized player object void Select Character (int character) { // player selected X if (character == 1) { g_player.SetJumpDistance (6); } // player selected Zero if (character == 2) { g_player.SetJumpDistance (4); } } void PlayerJump () { // Declare local variables bool blocked = false; int distance = 0; double direction = g_player.IsDirection (); double x = g_player.IsX (); double y = g_player.IsY (); double z = g_player.IsZ (); // Jump as far as the // player character can go while (distance <= g_player.IsJumpDistance ()) { // update the player's location x = GetX (direction, x, 1); y = GetY (0, y, 1); z = GetZ (direction, z, 1); // Find out if the player's way is blocked blocked = EncounteredObject (x, y, z); // If the player's way is blocked // exit the jump loop if (blocked) { distance = g_player.IsJumpDistance (); } // If the player's way is clear // update the player's location else { g_player.SetLocation (x, y, z); } // Update the loop distance++; } // Drop back to the ground PlayerLand (); } Although, this tiny example is far from complete the basic point I outlined here is that after I set the jump distance for the player character when we go into the while loop it will stop jumping when the maximum distance is reached or the character plows face first into a wall, force field, or some other object that will block his/her path. If the max distance is 4 when the distance counter reaches 4 it will end the loop and the player will fall to the ground. If it is set to 6 same thing only you get a chance to jump a little further along the x/y/z axis. This is standard programming 101. By not hard coding the values and using an interface like a player object to set maximum jump distance I don't have to write a separate jump function for X and Zero. This way I can use the same jump function for either, and the program will react according to the default stats. Hope that makes sense. This is why it is so easy to write games with multiple playable characters. As long as you structure your program properly it doesn't matter what the game is or what style. The programming conceptually is identical. You can have one or one hundred characters because once you initialize your player object with the initial stats the game simply doesnt care who you are. All it cares about is what values are stored in your object. Cheers! --- Gamers mailing list __ Gamers@audyssey.org If you want to leave the list, send E-mail to gamers-unsubscr...@audyssey.org. Re: [Audyssey] Babisoft games crashing Attention Dark
Hi Dark. After the Gulch game crashed 2 times in a row in the gun fights, I uninstalled the game and ran Ccleaner's registry cleaner. I corrected all the errors that it found and then removed the gulch folder (which apparently contained the patch fixes). I then restarted my computer and reinstalled gulch. When I tried to patch the game, Win XP told me that there were invalid parameters, and the game was not patched. Not sure what I should do now. Chillingham still crashes, so I'm not sure what else do do. I think i'm going to try installing the game on my wife's desktop and seeing if the patch will affix to the game. Well there is a big open field with stands for the joust. The same for the human wizard's chess games. One year there was a dude who's job was that of a heckler. So he was picking on my nephew's girlfriend. Big pink butt etc. So of course I had to pay for 3 tomatoes to throw at him. Now that sounds like a computer game that I could make. You know in the food court area we have to trade in our American dollars for English pounds. We are sitting at a picnic table looking around to see what all they have. My sister reads, 5 pound turkey leg, gee I don't think that I could eat that much. We all about fell off of our seats laughing. But now that 3 pound sweet roll did weigh about 3 pounds. Going to Mom's today for my sister's birthday. We love to remind her of that blonde moment. The flail is the only weapon that I have bought at the medieval faire, no swords, axes or anything like that. I did this summer also buy a nice leather slapper that the business end is shaped like a human hand. So it could make some nice sounds for my spanker game. I have also in the past purchased a jester had with 12 little bells hanging at the end of 12 armatures. I also got a nice pewter mug with a mermaid for the handle. [Audyssey] Chillingham help needed
Okay, I got Chillingham to work on my wife's desktop and not my netbook (don't know why, my netbook has more cpu power and more RAM than the desktop, but whatever) I have gone to all the sites in the town of Chillingham. I have the rope and hook (which are one item now), the bottle, the stakes, a candle, the balloons, the rain dancer's book from the library. I have gone to the swamp and have no problem killing the vamps there, but there are werewolves there which I cannot kill. I have not gotten to the organ (the organ player is still banging on the keys in the church). I have the flowers from the fork in the road. Now I am stuck. I have not opened the back door at the church. Not sure what I am missing. Any help would be appreciated. Ryan -Original Message- From: gamers-boun...@audyssey.org [mailto:gamers-boun...@audyssey.org] On Behalf Of Richard Sherman Sent: Wednesday, February 01, 2012 4:20 PM HI, Do you think that that with multiple people havign the same quest this might be causing some confusion in the coding? Do you think that at least for testing, and maybe to carry over, that there might be a hint key. where if they press it, some minor hint might be given, But then it will deduct some rep from the quest. Like maybe 50. Then if they press the hint key 5 times, they get no rep. In my case with the first quest, you were online at that time. You stated the pet cage is in the pet store. The other player found it, and grabbed it. But while I was there, I could hear the pinging from it, but could never find it. Then it was gone, and never came back. And the player who got it again went back and no pinging for that player either. the second quest was for a car battery. I went all over the auto mart, gas station, the hardware store, and kai mart. Never heard any pinging for it. Now if it was in the first 3 mentioned above, I should hear the pinging from just moving from one end to another. But in Kai mart, I went all over that place with a fine tooth comb with no success. the 3rd request was for drinks. There again I went every place that would have this with no success. If it sounds like I am complaining, I'm not. I am just trying to give you the information on what quests I had and what I did to solve them. After all, this is just a test version and you said that once done, all profiles will go away. Thanks. [Audyssey] Question regarding Gizzly Gulch
Spoiler contained Be warned Hi, I finally got Grizzly Gulch to work after downloading the 1.2.1 patch from the bavisoft site and then looking in the FAQ section on their site, and turning the acceleration for my Direct X Sound option to the lowest setting (shooting scenes would lock up on me). I have gone to the bank and couldn't stop the robbery. I got shot.Cecil suggested I get a gun. I took out a loan, and bought a gun. I held off the next robbery and cecil told me that he would mention it to the martial. I then went to the target range, and shot the place up and then missed one. (misfire actually). The computer voice told me "Amazing" (rubs nails on chest). I've been back into and out of the bank several more times (5) and there are no more robberies., and the martial's office is still closed. Do I keep trying to get a robbery in progress to show up in the bank, and try to bbuild up my reputation in town that way? I doubt the martial would be interested in my gambling skills (which I suck at, considering my wife once dealt blackjack and poker in a local casino here in Illinois.). Thanks for any tips. Re: [Audyssey] Any sword and sorcery games for the blind?
Thanks so much for your help Dark. You are a true guru, and not a grue!!! Keith - Original Message - From: "dark" To: "Gamers Discussion list" Sent: Thursday, February 09, 2012 4:20 AM Subject: Re: [Audyssey] Any sword and sorcery games for the blind? Hi Kieth. Wow what a question! and probably one that requires a long answer. Asking whether there are any sword and sorcerery themed games is a little like asking whether there are any games that use guns :d. firstly, I suggest you go to http://audiogames.net/dbindex.php and search the audiogmaes.net by the genre catagory of rpgs (you might also want to look under adventure games and gamebooks too), that's probably the best way to get an overview. Broardly speaking, there are four types of games that might fit the bill. 1: Audio rpgs, ie, role playing games that just use sound as interface. There aren't many of these, but what there is is pretty good. The two best in that genre are entombed, a full scale tactical turn based combat audio roguelike dungeon hack with many random elements and literally hours of playing even in the demo, see the entombed page on the audiogames.net database for more details, and Airik the clerric, a more action rpg title sort of like an audio version of Zelda, with lots of exploring and an on going plot (though note you'll neeed windows 7 for that one). There is also Sarah and the castle of witchcraft and wizardry. Though strictly an adventure game more than an rpg, it is set in the harry potter universe, is a full first person audio adventure, with many puzzles, magic artifacts, and great stounds. If you like Harry potter you should try that. Lastly, there id castaways. Though strictly speaking a stratogy game more than rpg, it does have much more of plot and mission structure than most other stratogy games, involving controlling a small number of units in more detail rather than controlling many hundreds of units. For instance, the first mission involves being shipwrecked on a shore and having to build a village, farms and sustain your population in order to create soldiers and knights to fight back the hoards of attacking goblins, and eventually build and stock a ship to hopefully sale back from where you have come. Further rpg games, such as another installment of the airik the clerric may well be in the works too. 2: Muds. These are similar to interactive fiction, accept that everything in them, all events are real time sent from the mud server to your computer. So you'll get into combat, and combat rounds will happen whether or not you attack a monster, but typing in commands will let you do things like use special attacks, cast spells etc. Like interactive fiction you wander through rooms and areas, but many muds do more than just offer puzzles. You can craft items, go on quests that might involve killing monsters or talking to npcs, join together with other players to form a party or fight against them. all you need is a mud client to connect to the mud, such as vipmud from www.gmagames.com. Another point about muds however is that some muds can have sound and audio, this is accomplished by creating a special script where your client will play sounds when certain events in the mud happen. . Alteraeon, a game we've been discussing on list recently, and imho one of the best and probably most accessible muds ever, has a special sound pack created by Oriol gomez that has so many sounds, keys to do one thing instead of typing commands, helpful options and such that it virtually turns alteraeon from a text game into an audio rpg. See the audiogames.net db page for alteraeon for more details. 3:Brouser rpgs. These are text games played in your web brouser, and are played online against many other people. Rather than typing commands interactive fiction style, you click on links to make stuff happen. So there could be a description of your location and a link called "attack monster" Most brouser rpgs have strong competative elements, many players online, but also quests and other things to do as well. I'd personally recommend the game's warriors 2, Sryth, Monster breeder (though that one hasn't been pdated in a while), metroplexities and the comedy games Twilight heroes and Kingdom of Loathing. See the audiogames.net db for more information. Another catagory of games that you can play online are gamebooks. These are superficially similar to brouser rpgs, but you don't have other players, just linked sets of html pages that run together to create a story your charaacter progresses through based on your own choices and sometimes dice rolls. Occasionally you have to fill out your own character sheet and roll your own dice for these, but for especially good gamebooks such as the chronicles of arborell or the Project Aon lone wolf series (nothing to do with the submarine game), it is worth it. Combat and choices that involve death a

There are lots of good games we might not discuss, plus of course it's always better to make up your own mind on these things and see for yourself what is available. The audiogames.net db comes with hopefully informative descriptions of the games with links to resources, and also the facility to search by genre, while the fantastic games and where to find them list at pcs serves as a massive list of websites so is great for an overview. I have found the crystal card in the dungeon after defeating the drake, and the sapphinre card and the druid card after doing what I needed to do to get those cards. But the goblin card still eludes me. I have defeated the goblin kind in two seperate adventtures, and have not found it. I have also fought to the 12th levels and have not found the goblin card. Re: [Audyssey] Uncharted Peak, New Story-Driven RPG

Diablo is indeed one of those games I've always wanted to play, me being an exploration nut, and it's good to here the developer has access in mind. Beware the grue! Dark. - Original Message - From: "Shadow Dragon" To: Sent: Wednesday, July 25, 2012 7:27 AM Subject: [Audyssey] Uncharted Peak, New Story-Driven RPG I actually happened across this on mudconnector, which is a bit surprising since it's not what I would consider a mud. But it is pretty cool for a browser-based game. It's sort of like a mix between Diablo and a tactical RPG. It's got diablo's randomly generated equipment system and quest path, and it's got a turn-based tactical battle system that sort of simulates diablo's combat system in the best way a browser-based game can. Unlike in most browser-based RPG's, you actually complete your characters on this game, as in, you can actually finish the storyline. Once that happens you start a new character. From what I see the storyline isn't hugely in-depth unless I missed some parts somehow, but it is fairly well-written, and there are tons of other things to do and achievements to unlock. On the battlefield there's orbs and items to collect, and from what I understand orbs do various things, from curing all alements, to restoring HP, to granting experience. Combat is kind of slow even once you get used to it, but it isn't too bad once you figure out how it works. It's even got tons of zones, monsters and events to check out. I'd definitely give this one a look if you're an RPG fan, or even just a diablo fan and you always wished you could play. www.unchartedpeak.com There's a more comprehensive features list on the website for anyone interested. One thing that really impressed me about this game was the developer's willingness to add accessibility features. At first the combat was unplayable because you couldn't tell where the monster was, and doing things like equipping items was a little tricky. But within a day of my asking, the developer went above and beyond my suggestions, implementing all of my suggestions as well as a few things I didn't even think of to make the game completely playable. I was very impressed. So if you're worried about accessibility, I think he's got that covered and I'm sure if you find anything else that's tricky to do he'd be willing to implement it, as long as it doesn't unbalance gameplay. [Audyssey] Plague card issue in entombed 1.05B
Hi, I was just able to purchase the plauge card from the bizarre in the game Entombed 1.05 B. It said that "You now see things in a new light" or something like that. Anyways, I saved my game, and then went back to the main menu. I checked the unlocked option, and the plauge card was not listed. I tried to start a new game, and there were no new races or classes/jobs unlocked. Any idea if I just got screwed. And yes, the bizarre gave me a "purchase completeA" message before I left it. Re: [Audyssey] Uncharted peak brouser rpg
Is the link for the game correct? When I click on it I get a page not found window. Keith - Original Message - From: "dark" To: Sent: Wednesday, August 29, 2012 8:15 PM Subject: [Audyssey] Uncharted peak brouser rpg Hi. I don't know if anyone remembers the game that shadow dragon posted about a few weeks ago,k www.unchartedpeak.comm. This is quite a unique new brouser rpg that has just started up developement. What mnakes it particularly unique to me is the battle system, sinse you fight on a grid, and have to move and attack monsters, as well as using spells and the like. On the grid are also orbs which you can move to to get boosts and other things as well. i suspect this one could really go far if people support it, so I'd urge everyone to give it a try. The game master also seems great about access, for instance even though there is a rather horrible capture to create an account, he's stated he'll happily create accounts for any vi players who want to play, and once your account is created everything is fine. I haven't got far into the game myself from bring at music school, but i'm already quite impressed and would highly recommend it. thus far, my only cryticism is that the monsters have no flavour text, which for me is always a downer in a game, sinse just being told I'm fighting say a dingo or a molosc is pretty uninteresting, but the battles are a lot of fun. The game is also free, though you can buy some account upgrades for extra inventory slots and the like. Hope people enjoy this one. [Audyssey] AD and D muds?
Hi, was wondering if anyone knows of some muds that follow the dungeons and dragons rules? I have played Toril and shadowgate, but toril is more of a get to the top level and then find better equipment to augment your character ( which I find kind of lame) and shadowgate is kind of a pain due to the fact that when you leave the game, you either have to go to an inn and pay to have your equipment stored in a vault in the inn, and and when you get higher more powerful pieces of equipment, you pay increadibly high fees, or if you just end the game without being in an inn, you lose all your equipment you have gathered. Yes, I do play alter aeon, but after a while, I need a break from that one and want to try out another. Re: [Audyssey] About pc games
I think you both make points. Would it be nice to have more games to choose from as a blind person? Yes, of course. But Creators of "assistive tech" including games, do not make a lot of money, due to our numbers (the blind) being so low compared to the sighted community. The sighted want more graphics and realistic visuals, and we blind want clear text or sound effects. So, it's kind of a catch 22 when it comes to mainstream designers creating games the blind can play along sides the sighted. this may help. hold the control key down and then hit the tab key. this should bring you into the output buffer, which will allow you to arrow up and down the screen and see the text that the game has sent you. to leave the Output buffer, push control again and tap the tab key.
