Re: [Dhis2-devs] Understanding the 'relativePeriodDate' property

2016-09-19 Thread Marta Vila
Good morning Vanya,

the relative period functionality always returns the last X "closed"
months. For fetching the ongoing period you need to select the option: this
month.
It is consistent with the behavior that you described, so I think that you
will need to send 2016-08-01 as the relativePerioDate to get the dates that
you want.

Cheers,

Marta

Re: [Dhis2-devs] Providing scheduling flexibility to other tasks

2016-09-26 Thread Marta Vila
Hi all,

just to add that the justification of data synch scheduling for us, is not
only about the bandwidth, but also about letting the offline instance users
have some sense of control about when their data is being sent (every
night, every week ... ) or even to be triggered manually, depending on the
context of the intervention.

cheers,

Marta

Re: [Dhis2-devs] Aggregation for Program Indicators

2016-10-26 Thread Marta Vila
Hi Olivier,

we experience the same problem in MSF Spain, and the team from MSF Belgium
has brought this conversation to the table more than once. It was actually
discussed during the experts academy in Oslo, however I cannot see anything
referring to this in the roadmap.

In fact, even if we don't have individual data and work only with
aggregates, the aggregation of weeks into months, according to where Monday
falls, is not ideal and we have to extract information weekly and aggregate
it externally, for example,to report to the MoH which allocates the week
into the month in which it has four days. Simplifying, the week goes where
its Thursday is.

For the combination of individual and agg. data; the problem gets worse as
you described and only a proportional distribution of values depending on
the number of days belonging to each month will be more approximate to
reality (assuming the aggregated value is equally distributed along the
days of the week).

We understand that the solution might not be trivial, but would love the
conversation to be considered for next releases.

Any other thoughts in the community?

Cheers,
Marta

[Dhis2-devs] Six-monthly period type not present in 2.25

2017-01-03 Thread Marta Vila
Hi all,

Happy new year!

I see the period six-monthly has disappeared in 2.25 and only
SixMontlhyApril is left.

See bellow a screenshot from demo server

I am migrating from 2.21. Has this period type been removed on purpose in
any of the versions I skipped?

If that is not the case, let me know and I´ll create an issue in jira.

Thanks!

Re: [Dhis2-devs] [Dhis2-users] How to reduce table columns

2017-01-09 Thread Marta Vila
Hi Paul,

in line with Victor's email. If you want to explore that option, you can
download the custom JS/CSS webapp from the dhis2 App Store to easily access
and edit the files.

*"Custom JS/CSS is an app that lets you create and maintain custom
Javascript and CSS content for your DHIS 2 instance. The Javascript and CSS
can be used to override existing look or behavior or add new, such as
modifying the look of the login page. This app is a front-end to the files

 Hi Papa,
 Could you be more specific?

December 28th - Jan 3rd should be 2015W53. Usually years have 52 weeks,
but this happens from time to time, due to how ISO weeks are defined.

Are you seeing this in the analysis modules for last 52 weeks?

Re: [Dhis2-devs] Multilingual analytics - DE and IND filter does not use translations

2016-01-14 Thread Marta Vila
Hello Morten,

no worries :)

Could we have it backported to 2.21?? Do you have an estimation of when
2.22 will be released??

We are upgrading all our offline servers in february and we do this once or
twice a year as much.

What we do now to really have a multilingual system is to use different
databases depending on the country...
The only difference between them is the default language (spanish, french,
english or portuguese)... which complicates our life a little bit... :)

thanks!

Hello Android community!

If you have not yet completed the Android Survey, please do it now! We will

You only have to answer this survey

for building the Roadmap of the new Android App, and that you don´t need an
on-going project, even if your are piloting, planning or your project is

Re: [Dhis2-devs] Option Sets and Dataset Completeness

2017-12-07 Thread Marta Vila
Dear Mike,

for question 1 I am happy to see that you found a workaround. I am,
however, adding Ignacio to the loop in case he wants to add a comment.

For data set completion, I recommend you to have a look at the documentation
for Data Capture

.

*Completion in Android *

*Android uses an ‘explicit save’ approach, where no data is saved until a
‘Save’ button is tapped.*

*Clicking ‘Save’ not only saves the Data Set, it also automatically marks
it *

*as ‘complete’ (There are no separate buttons for ‘complete’ or
‘incomplete’).*

*This allows edits of existing ‘incomplete’ Data Sets. Just viewing an
‘incomplete’ Data Set on Android *

*will not ‘complete’ it unless the ‘Save’ button is also clicked.*

Hope it helps!
Marta

Hi Victor,

as Knut said... it is not easy to understand your question.

In case you mean "how can I DOWNLOAD all existing enrollments for an
orgunit"? please try with the online search Icon (See image below).

Best,

Dear Bridget, Prosper,

Aimee's issue was due to some changes in metadata in their servers, I do
not have more details, but I know it is working fine now.

Thanks for your help!

Re: [Dhis2-devs] HOW TO DOWNLOAD TEI'S FROM 2.29 TRACKER CAPTURE

2018-07-04 Thread Marta Vila
Hi Stanley,

not seeing yout TEI's could be caused by the "Display front page list"
parameter not being marked.
It is in the program details step when you create or edit your program.

Cheers,

Re: [Dhis2-devs] [Dhis2-users] Filtering indicators by OU

2018-11-15 Thread Marta Vila
Hi Damien!

there is no magic formula for all these config decisions, but one pretty
generic good practice would be that the aggregation of your cat. combo
options into a data element should be meaningful. As it is the value that
users will get when they select the DE in data visualizer or pivot table
without details.

>From your example: I would say that using two different data elements for
Malaria and Malaria (deaths) is correct. If you put them under one unique
Malaria DE with a category (cases/deaths), the total number will be mixing
cases and deaths, which is most likely incorrect from an analysis point of
view and very easy to misinterpret by the users.

Another generic good practice advise is to design your configuration
thinking of your desired output (analysis).

Hope it helps!
Marta

the app follows the same sharing permissions than the web. You need to
configure the sharing settings for each program. If, with the same user,

If you don-t know how to configure the sharing settings, then please read

[Dhis2-devs] Translation of Metadata not available in data analysis apps

2015-07-27 Thread Marta Vila
Hello all,

we have observed that the translations of metadata in the data analysis
apps (pivot tables and visualizer) is not complete nor consistent across
versions.

For 2.18 metadata was translated in the right side (visualization) of the
screen but not the left one (selection) which made sense because
translations where not reachable directly through the API...
But in 2.19 and 2.20 we lost the translations in the right side, and the
left side remains in the default language, even if now translations are
included in the API,
is there a reason behind?

We have reported two bugs, one for each side because we are stacked in 2.18
because of this.
During august and september we will deploy in spanish, english and french
speaking countries and, after some discussions, we decided that having at
least the right side is better than nothing.

We had a look at the 2.21 blueprint and it doesn't seem to be included.

So my question is... could this be considered to be fixed any time soon?

Thanks!

Marta

Re: [Dhis2-devs] [Dhis2-users] Translations to French and Spanish

2013-06-29 Thread Marta Vila
Hi all,

I hadent internet acces for a week... so thats why the big silence in this
thread from the spanish translators (well... from me)

About the translation, it was completed for 2.11, so anything new for 2.12
is not translated yet, would be great to have it updated.

About the spanish language group... It is true is not very active, but
every post has got an answer (untill now) ... I thing there isnt a lot of
movement because all memebers in that list are also here, and when we need
a high level of expertise we always end up in the english (experienced)
list ...
I believe It may change as spanish speaking users get more and more
expertise... what do you think???

Thanks for your your interest in helping out Juan M!

Re: [Dhis2-devs] Metadata export: programs infinite recursion

2015-02-20 Thread Marta Vila
Hi Morten,

thanks a lot. Meta-data export works perfectly fine now with this program
configuration.

Just FYI -
editing data from the "Shortcut link to add a relative" section in a
program does not update the values for the fields:

*Relationship (e.g. Mother-Child)*
*Who is the new relative to the existing tracked entity instance?*
*Program for new relative to be enrolled in*

Only *Shortcut link label (e.g. Add child)* is updated. The
program is stored as a new version.

thanks again!
