The keys in gpg2 were automatically imported because they have signed my key.
All manually imported keys are imported into gpg-public-list.
Seahorse only provides you the keys in the gpg2-list. Where can i find the
configuration for this?

Seahorse imports keys into gpg-list at manual import and uses gpg2-list
as standard for all other operations.

yes, seems to be the same bug.

Seahorse stores imported key in a particular file when importing and takes keys
from a different when using them. It seems to have a relation with the new

[Bug 1292398] Re: multi-monitor : second screen position isn't saved from one session to another

2014-06-06 Thread Adi
@Sebastien Bacher:
It is also happening on Unity, even if you set screen settings from AMD
Catalyst (I have an AMD card), until you make changes from Gnome Control Center
and save them. After that problems are "almost" fixed.
"Almost" means that before the login process everything is still messed up (my
login prompt appears on my TV), but after login problem dissapear.

[Bug 875509] Re: Can't change avatar Yahoo

2011-12-19 Thread Adi
I'm not sure I understand. What's the "vedio of the bug"? You want me to make a
video record? I'll do it, but I'm not sure how a video will help the bug report.
I can tell you the steps needed to reproduce the bug:
For the Avatar:
1. From global menu, open "Edit" -> "Personal Information";
2. Click on the "gray man" button, browse to an image file and select "Open";
3. You can see that the "gray man" icon is still there, it's not changed.
For the Alias:
1. From global menu, open "Edit" -> "Personal Information";
2. Edit the "Alias" textfield and click "Close" to close the dialog;
3. When opening the "Personal Information" dialog again, you can see that the
Alias value has not been updated.

[Bug 452403] [NEW] login widget doesn't start with keyboard focus

2009-10-15 Thread adi
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gdm

In the 9.10 beta (also observed in alpha6 IIRC), the login widget does
not start with keyboard focus; I have to find my mouse and click things
before I can start typing my username.

Steps to reproduce:
1. install 9.10 beta
2. boot into new GDM greeter
3. start typing username (without touching mouse)
4. observe that keystrokes are being ignored, curse, dig out mouse and click
things to get focus

Observed behavior:
mouse must be clicked before typing username.

Desired behavior:
typing username and password at login screen should allow me to log in without
touching mouse.

This worked correctly in 9.04.

(FWIW, this is on an Intel Core 2 Duo laptop with GM45 graphics running
x86_64 with a 1280x800 LVDS panel, just in case any of that matters.)

[Bug 80702] Re: Keyboard indicator flags are missing

2009-06-09 Thread Adi Roiban
The flags are not displayed for political reasons. (just search the
gnome/debian archives for the long debate)

As far as I know, languages have no flags. At least I am not aware how
the Romanian language flag looks like.

Beside alternate keyboard layouts (qwerty/qwetz/dworak), we can also
have the same keyboard layout use in different countries (French is the
oficial language of 29 countries).

I agree that USA and USA2 is not use friendly but displaying a flag
is not the answer for this problem,

>From my point of view, an user friendly implementation will have only
one oficial keyboard layout for each language... users that need more
than 1 layout per language should be considere a special/advance case.

The problem is still here, annoying as ever! I'm using Karmic, two

information in the system clock (Clock 2.28.0), not sure it's the one
discussed here, but it's the exact same issue, with the difference that
if it doesn't update by itself when I wake up the laptop, it will never
do so until reboot.

[Bug 319776] [NEW] don't allow shut down if there are other user with opened sessions

2009-01-21 Thread Adi Roiban
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-session

I tried to find a answer for this problem, but I could only find a way
to completly disable shutdown and suspend.

I have one administrator account that I'm using and other simple user
account for my friends.

When my friends come and visit me, they want to use my computer just for a
short time and then log off.
To do this I'm using the switch user feature.

When they are done, they should just "Log off" , but some of them,
instead of log off, they push the shut down button. Durring all this
time my main gnome session is running and at the shutdown I loose all my
work.

I would like GNOME to warn me about the existence of other running
gnome-sessions.

If I'm not an administrator and there are other running session I should
be allow only to log off.

If I'm an administrator I should be warned, but have an option to force
shutdown.

Hibernate and suspend should be allowed as the session can be recoverd.

I'm sorry if this is a duplicate, but I did not know how to search this
problem.

Many thanks!

[Bug 1018346] [NEW] CTRL key = Primary ... sometimes

2012-06-27 Thread Adi Dobrota
Public bug reported:

freshly installed Ubuntu 12.04 and gnome-shell, using gnome with no
effects

gnome-control-center:
  Installed: 1:3.4.2-0ubuntu0.2
  Candidate: 1:3.4.2-0ubuntu0.2

left CTRL key seems to be "interpreted" as PRIMARY key, however it only happens
in certain enviroments
for example in firefox left CTRL + T does NOT open a new tab, it needs right
CTRL + T , however left CTRL + click a link DOES correctly open the link in a
new tab. Same key seems to be interpreted differently by the same application
(firefox in this case)

same thing applies to keyboard shortcuts - I defined CTRL + F1 = move window
to workspace 1, but only right control works, left control doesn't.
CTRL+ALT+T for open terminal works with left CTRL
CTRL+C or V for copy/paste does not work with left CTRL in any enviroment.

anyone else experiencing this?

no, this doesn't seem to me to be:

Since we did not manage to talk about this issue durring the latest Ubuntu

[Bug 389428] Re: Stop importing RTL translations for CLI apps into Ubuntu

2009-11-09 Thread Adi Roiban
Lior, can you give us an example of such application?

I think we should discuss each case.

As a first step we should talk about Ubuntu packages from the main
repository.

I don't know if Ubuntu package mainainers will be happy to patch each
package so that it will not build the HE translations.

Not importing them in Launchpad Translations will imply not building
those translations.

There will be minimal changes in the package and all major changes will
be done in lang-o-matic and other extenal scripts,

I still think we should have a meeting for discussing those decisions

[Bug 873935] [NEW] The embedded terminal is not using the default gnome terminal profile

2011-10-14 Thread Adi Roiban
Public bug reported:

As far as I remember, in previous version of Gedit, the embedded
terminal was using the default gnome terminal profile for general
settings.

In the latest version, it looks like it uses a custom profile and there
is no way to configure that profile.

[Bug 771722] [NEW] The new dark theme from Natty has poor contrast

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-terminal

I am switching from Maverick to Natty, and I found that the new dark
theme from the gnome-terminal is nice but it lacks contrast and makes it
really hard to locate the scroll handler.

I have also attached a screenshot... maybe this is an isolated bug and
everyone else has a good contrast.

[Bug 771728] [NEW] new scrollbar - Autoscrolling is not working with mouse drag selection

2011-04-27 Thread Adi Roiban
Public bug reported:

I am trying Natty and in applications like Nautilus or Gedit where the
new scrollbars are enabled, when I try to select multiple icons or
multiple lines, when the selection reached the windows margin, the
windows viewport is not scrolled.

To reproduce this bug, try to open a long text file in Gedit. Then while
holding the mouse left button move it down to select multiple lines. Go to the
windows margin as when you would like to select more lines.
The view is not scrolled.

[Bug 442990] Re: "Delete" and "Apply" buttons shows untranslated, and can't be translated

2009-10-05 Thread Adi Roiban
Be problem is in src/palimpsest/gdu-section-partition.c as the Delete
and Apply text are not marked for translations.

This is one possible sollution.

button = gtk_button_new_with_mnemonic (_("_Delete"));
gtk_widget_set_tooltip_text (button, _("Delete the partition"));
g_signal_connect (button, "clicked", G_CALLBACK
(on_delete_partition_clicked), section);
gtk_container_add (GTK_CONTAINER (button_box), button);

button = gtk_button_new_with_mnemonic (_("_Revert"));
section->priv->modify_part_revert_button = button;
gtk_container_add (GTK_CONTAINER (button_box), button);

button = gtk_button_new_with_mnemonic (_("_Apply"));
gtk_widget_set_tooltip_text (button, _("Apply the changes made"));
g_signal_connect (button, "clicked", G_CALLBACK
(on_modify_partition_apply_clicked), section);
section->priv->modify_part_apply_button = button;
gtk_container_add (GTK_CONTAINER (button_box), button);

Another one would be to use the gtk_button_new_from_stock function and
in this later case it will use the default GTK translations.

[Bug 442978] Re: "Password:" is shown untranslated, and can't be translated

2009-10-06 Thread Adi Roiban
This is the upstream comment / resolution :

--- Comment #1 from Ray Strode  2009-10-06 13:58:41 UTC ---
The Password text comes from PAM. If it's not coming up translated, that means
either the PAM module isn't translated or you don't have the translations for
the pam module installed.

Closing NOTGNOME.

---

Here is the PAM template:
https://translations.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/karmic/+source/pam/+pots/linux-pam/

Password: is at string id 102

Let's wait to settle the language-pack update problems and test again.
Meanwhile I will do a local test.

[Bug 349909] Re: evolution-data-server-2.26 template not available for translation

2009-03-31 Thread Adi Roiban
Looking at the evolution-data-server template in Launchpad I see it goes
to evolution-data-server-2.26.mo

https://translations.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/jaunty/+source/evolution-
data-server/+pots/evolution-data-server

Template details
Created:  on 2008-12-12
Domain: evolution-data-server-2.26

-

In gettext parlance, domain is translated into ".mo" filename :)

-
Also taking a look into the source code I see that domain name is set to
"evolution-data-server-${BASE_VERSION}"

-

I think that we choose to name the template "evolution-data-server" just
to have a simpler display (for now).

Cheers

[Bug 487292] Re: German installations of Ubuntu creates some strange keyboard layouts

2009-11-24 Thread Adi Roiban
Ok. Strange indeed :)

The error occurs only on the first time you start Ubuntu and on the
live-cd.

I have tested this on a virtual machine with Karmic Release Live-CD.

There is not ~/.dmrc file

The output from gconftool -R /desktop/gnome/peripherals/keyboard/kbd

 layouts = [de]
 options = []
 model =

Try to start Ubuntu Karmic Live-CD on virtual box and choose Deutch from
gfx-boot.
I can reproduce it each time I start the livecd.

Anyway this bug has a very small impact

Yeah, there seem to be none. I guess we should add one.

This is intentionally not done, due to the large risks involved with
automatically moving users files. There can be errors (conflicts, i/o
errors, etc) and there may be cases where the move didn't do exactly
what the user expected.

However, I know it was discussed that we should at least bring up a
dialog that describes the migration a bit more in details (what folders
got moved where) to help the users handle the migration better.
