There are programs, like mutt, that depend on a smtp-mailer-daemon. You installed exim to satisfy this dependency. Now if you prefer using qmail instead of exim, just install qmail, and afaik exim will be automatically removed. At least this worked for me the other way round using apt-get. qmail was installed. apt-get install exim // removed qmail and installed exim -ff -- Florian Friesdorf <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> OpenPGP key available on public key servers --> Save the future of Open Source <-- -> Online-Petition against Software Patents <- --> http://petition.eurolinux.org <--- pgpK5kJtcEgzy.pgp Description: PGP signature

Well, imho it makes no sense splitting of /usr/src. Everthing in there is under package control. /boot80MB /60MB /usr2GB /usr/local 1GB /var1GB /home 500MB I think it's better to not have /tmp on the same partition than /, because / is static and /tmp is frequently written to. If you don't have enough space, I'd link /tmp to /var/tmp and create /var/tmp with /var not mounted, so you also have a /tmp, in case /var isn't mounted. There are so many programs in Debian (all of them going into /usr), so there isn't much in /usr/local, except for kernel-sources (/usr/local/src). -ff -- Florian Friesdorf <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> OpenPGP key available on public key servers --> Save the future of Open Source <-- -> Online-Petition against Software Patents <- --> http://petition.eurolinux.org <--- pgp7h70WreRUQ.pgp Description: PGP signature

Sorry typing error, I meant /boot 10MB. I think you are right. It's just, I'm used to seperate /boot from /, so I can move around root, if neccessary. I had in mind, using the /var partition also for temporary files, because it is nearly as often frequented as /tmp. xclients through ssh and docking in windowmaker
I'm trying to start xclients on my router (potato) through a ssh connection and docking those to windowmaker dock. I'm executing 'ssh -X [EMAIL PROTECTED] /usr/bin/X11/wterm' in a terminal on my machine. Then I dock the appearing icon. Now the problem is, somehow my commandline is cutted off to '/usr/bin/X11/wterm'. I also tried 'ssh -X [EMAIL PROTECTED] '/usr/bin/X11/wmnet -W ippp0'' with no success.
