I figured out what happened. When I first opened reportbug it asked me against what package I wanted to submit the bug, and I hadn't noticed that it *should* have been sponsorship-requests; so it went somewhere else. I've sent email to control@b.d.o correcting that. Greetings, I see a lot of RFS email that just sits there in the mailing list, without ever getting a response... is that normal? Do responses about requests for sponsorship usually not get sent to debian-mentors? That orig tarball was generated automagically, probably when I imported
the upstream source... I'm not sure why it was generated like that. I didn't see
a tag when I ran lintian so I didn't notice it.

Okay these are dealt with. What about those files that nave "No
Copyright" or are listed as "UNKNOWN"?
I couldn't find anything on the Policy or on the Dev Reference that

executable name and wondered if I should rename it; but that would imply
making changes to the source (with possible unforseen consequences).
After asking in #debian-mentors I decided it was not worth the troulble.

I'm not married to that solution. If you think it's better to follow
the convention I'm okay with it. I'll make the necessary changes :)

That's pretty much what I figured. I didn't want to change the
upstream source so i just left those there. As for the "mo" locale, I've
notified them about it - it seems to be a generalized problem so I
wasn't sure where to file a bug report.
I haven't received an answer from them, though, so I'm thinking I
might just file a bug report on each package and move on.

Hello again!
Just a follow-up: the package is now up to date. The executable now
is called "elementary-terminal". The "mo" locale was corrected with a
patch that I sent to upstream - they have already accepted it and merged
it so the next version should have it fixed.
I hope you can have another look at the package - and at other
elementary-related packages I'm sending to mentors.

Should I give up?
Greetings. I have been trying to package packages related to Elemetary OS's Pantheon for Debian. Several months ago I submitted a few of them to mentors.d.n, and found sponsors, and those packages got accepted. Then they entered the NEW queue. I decided to wait for those packages to make it into the distribution before submitting new ones. I lost track of the time it took for those packages to actually receive a response from the ftp masters. Now, I know all work is voluntary and I don't want to demand anything, but being frank I just got tired of waiting. I had completely forgotten about those packages when I got a response for them, saying that they were rejected. I don't feel motivated at all to actually fix the problems that were pointed out about them. I'm trying to find motivation to work on them once more to fix those issues and then go through the whole process again, but the thought of having to wait several months again to see if everything is acceptable is really discouraging. So, I turn to the mentors present in this discussion list for incentive. Should I try again? Is there anything to say? Thanks in advance. The past months have been challenging for a series of reasons that don't really fit the scope of this list so I'm going to leave it at that. Suffice it to say, I'm willing to try again. Packaging software for Debian and (eventually) becoming a DD is an old aspiration of mine, and I'm not ready to give up on that just yet. Thank you very much for taking the time to review this package! When it
comes to packaging I clearly still have a long way to go.
I have fixed all those issues, including #1018222. I have tested the
package extensively and installed it on a fresh unstable installation running
inside a virtual machine, and everything seems to be in working order.
Before I re-submit this package for sponsorship, I do have one doubt,
though: because it reached the NEW queue, I'm not sure if I should tag it 3.3.1-
1 or 3.3.1-2. Which one should I use?

Hello again! I have fixed all issues. I even included a superficial test, as jcfp suggested. I looked into adding a more meaningful test, but I need to figure out exactly how to run a test that involved a graphical application, so I'll leave it for a future release. I even added such a test to d/t/control, but even with it succeeding I realised it was a false success because the testbed did not have a graphical environment; so I left it out. Maybe I can set up such a test using xvfb? Anyway, it should pop up on mentors.d.n at any moment.
