RE: How to get list of sales country

2023-03-14 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Balram,

I'm from the Google Ads API team.

You may refer here for more information regarding the supported geo targeting
criterias in Google Ads API. In the Google Ads API's perspective, you may query
the geo_target_constant field to retrieve geo targets directly from the Google
Ads API. Kindly note that based on our documentation, only one of feed_label or
sales_country can be set. Furthermore, sales_country can never be modified, but
can be cleared if you set the feed_label in the same operation.

I hope this helps. Let us know if you still have any further clarifications.

2023-03-14 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Divyesh,

Thank you for raising this concern to the Google Ads API support team. We hope
you are doing well today.

With regard to your concern, for the INVALID_PAYMENTS_ACCOUNT error, can you
please confirm if you are following the instructions for using a new / existing
payments account, in this Billing Setup? Kindly note that, available payment
accounts depend on the authenticating user. You can use the
PaymentsAccountService ListPaymentsAccounts methods to see which are available.

If the error still persists after considering the above information, you may
provide us with the complete API logs within the request and response logs,
with the request-id that generated on your end. If you haven't yet, logging can
be enabled by navigating to the Client libraries > Your client library (ex.

I'm afraid that getting the Authorized API users' full name or email address

Re: GenerateHistoricalMetricsResponse is empty for a particular keywords plan

2023-03-14 Thread Ana K
I'm seeing the same issue, and it seems to be new. In the past I regularly
ran API requests using the
syntax
https://googleads.googleapis.com/v13/customers/111/keywordPlans/222:generateHistoricalMetrics.

Where it says 222 I'd plug in the plan ID after creating the keyword
plan through the Google Ads UI. In the past, data viewed in the UI or
retrieved via the API always matched.

In the past few weeks, this seems to have changed such that any new plans
created in the UI now result in empty object {} when running the request
URL shown above (data is still available through the UI). This seems to be
related to a recent format change, since old plan IDs work until I hit the
""You must update this plan to a newer format to open it. This format can
be used with a new feature that automatically organizes keywords into ad
groups"" and click Continue. Once the plan is updated, the API request
starts returning the empty object instead of historical metrics.

Is this a known change or limitation of the new plan formats?

Get adgroups cost in relation to the hour

2023-03-14 Thread Emmanuel Martinez
Hello! hope you are well

In our team we want to get through the API, the cost per adgroup in
relation to the hour, as it can be done in the Google Ads UI, we leave a
real example in the first attached file.

We are using the official python library and we use the following query in
the code to get the costs and the hours:

SELECT
ad_group.ad_rotation_mode,
ad_group.base_ad_group,
ad_group.campaign,
ad_group.cpc_bid_micros,
ad_group.cpm_bid_micros,
ad_group.cpv_bid_micros,
ad_group.display_custom_bid_dimension,
ad_group.effective_target_cpa_bid_micros,
ad_group.effective_target_cpa_source,
ad_group.effective_target_roas,
ad_group.effective_target_roas_source,
ad_group.id,
ad_group.labels,
ad_group.name,
ad_group.resource_name,
ad_group.status,
ad_group.target_cpa_micros,
ad_group.target_cpm_micros,
ad_group.target_roas,
ad_group.type,
segments.hour,
metrics.cost_micros
FROM ad_group

Here is an example of what we get.

"customers/x/adGroups/x": {
"resource_name": "customers/x/adGroups/x",
"status": "ENABLED",
{ "type_": "SEARCH_STANDARD",
"effective_target_cpa_source": "AD_GROUP",
"effective_target_roas_source": "AD_GROUP",
"id": "x",
"name": "x",
"base_ad_group": "customers/x/adGroups/x",
"campaign": "customers/x/campaigns/x",
"cpc_bid_micros": "113",
"cpm_bid_bid_micros": "1",
"target_cpa_micros": "3024",
"cpv_bid_bid_micros": "0",
"target_cpm_micros": "1",
"target_roas": "8.8294",
"effective_target_cpa_micros": "3024",
"effective_target_roas": 8.8294,
"labels": [
  "customers/x/labels/x",
  "customers/x/labels/x"
],
"date": "2023-03-13",
"hour": 12,
"cost_micros": "47".
  }

Then we make a process to insert this data in a sql database, but it
doesn't match with what we have in the Google Ads UI.

The question is,
1. is our logic right when asking for hourly costs?
2. if the data we ask for is ok, can it be that our code is wrong?

All Api request are stucked without any response

2023-03-14 Thread Zied Chaari
Hi Google Team,

We have upgrated the Google Ads API to the latest version V13. However, all
calls we made are stucked without any response.
This is an example of code.

public override SocialAudience CreateCustomAudience(SocialAudience
SAudience, List EventSource = null)
{
configGoogleAdsApi.OAuth2RefreshToken =
SAudience.AdAccount.GoogleUser.Refresh_Token;
GoogleAdsClient client = new GoogleAdsClient(configGoogleAdsApi);

UserListServiceClient service =
client.GetService(Services.V13.UserListService);
Google.Ads.GoogleAds.V13.Services.UserListOperation operation;

Google.Ads.GoogleAds.V13.Resources.UserList userList = new
Google.Ads.GoogleAds.V13.Resources.UserList()
{
Name = SAudience.Audience.Name,
Description = SAudience.Audience.Description ?? "",
MembershipLifeSpan = 1,
MembershipStatus =
UserListMembershipStatusEnum.Types.UserListMembershipStatus.Open,
CrmBasedUserList = new CrmBasedUserListInfo()
{
UploadKeyType =
Google.Ads.GoogleAds.V13.Enums.CustomerMatchUploadKeyTypeEnum.Types.CustomerMatchUploadKeyType.ContactInfo
}
};

operation = new Google.Ads.GoogleAds.V13.Services.UserListOperation()
{
Create = userList
};

try
{
Google.Ads.GoogleAds.Util.TraceUtilities.Configure(Google.Ads.GoogleAds.Util.TraceUtilities.DETAILED_REQUEST_LOGS_SOURCE,

"C:\\logs\\details.log", System.Diagnostics.SourceLevels.All);

MutateUserListsResponse result =
service.MutateUserLists(SAudience.AdAccount.Social_ID, new[] { operation });

UserListName userListName =
UserListName.Parse(result.Results[0].ResourceName);

SAudience.Social_ID = userListName.UserListId;
SAudience.Size = 0;
return SAudience;
}
catch (GoogleAdsException E)
{
throw;
}
}

Any Help Please.

GenerateHistoricalMetricsResponse is empty for a particular keywords plan
I'm seeing the same issue, and it seems to be new. In the past I regularly ran
API requests using the syntax
https://googleads.googleapis.com/v13/customers/111/keywordPlans/222:generateHistoricalMetrics.
 Where it says

222  I'd plug in the plan ID after creating the keyword plan through the
Google Ads UI. In the past, data viewed in the UI or retrieved via the API
always matched.
In the past few weeks, this seems to have changed such that any new plans
created in the UI now result in empty object {} when running the request URL
shown above (data is still available through the UI). This seems to be related
to a recent format change, since old plan IDs work until I hit the ""You must
update this plan to a newer format to open it. This format can be used with a
new feature that automatically organizes keywords into ad groups"" and click
Continue. Once the plan is updated, the API request starts returning the empty
object instead of historical metrics.
Is this a known change or limitation of the new plan formats?

I tried another way. Open plan thru API and then tried to add keywords thru UI.
But no success. UI failed to open the plan.
I'm pretty sure it is something about API versions or i have to add plan

Probably no way to manage plan thru UI and pull metrics from API? Please
advice.

Hi,

Thanks for reaching out to the Google Ads API Forum.

I understand that you were able to retrieve historical info for keywords plan
via Google Ads API but the response shows it as response.metrics == []. Can you
please confirm if the UI's Keyword Planner is showing the same results as the
API response shown? If yes, then Google Ads API mirrors the Google Ads UI. If
not, then you may note that the KeywordPlanService.GenerateHistoricalMetrics
has similar functionality in the UI's Keyword Planner. But, the API requires
that you create a KeywordPlan first, and there are differences when working
with a keyword plan using the Google Ads API versus the UI. You may refer to
these recommendations on how to avoid mismatches in historical metrics when
mixing usage. For more information, you may refer to this page.
