Hello,

I will be releasing a version of pcsc-lite this week with multi-application
support and the ability to run in user space. This version sits nicely on
top of RPC and I will add a flag for DES authentication if that is desired
for service authentication. The executables have grown a bit: from 13k to
56k with RPC but still no where near CORBA which had executables around 1.6
meg (300k stripped) The new version allows you to connect up to multiple
channels during the same session. For example you could connect to a
smartcard reader in Germany and one in Japan ( up to 16 simultaneous
connections ) If there is anything you would like to see in this release
please let me know.

There will also be a new reader driver soon that supports T=1.

Best Regards,
Dave
