Start/stopping the checking can be done via saWeb, putting an entry into maintenance (or back yo active) can also be done with saWeb, so it's just the icon that is missing then?

It would be feasible to stop the service and start the app when adding checks but to just put a check into maintenance it should be an issue. There was also a critical problem that I no longer recall but could probably duplicate. Furthermore on both my Windows XP and my Server 2008 machine when run as a service I somewhat frequently get the Method ~of ~ errors along with Pings coming back 0%. This requires a restart of the app. I thought it was windows 2008 specific until one day another admin ran it as an app on my XP machine (out of habit) and I got the same problem. We would like to get some additional info on this. We did some testing and it seems to run as service (and be able to do checks too :-)).... There are indeed some issues with for example the GROUPS that aren't loaded/saved correctly due to the location of the GROUPS.GRP file. dirk To unsubscribe send a message with UNSUBSCRIBE in the subject line to [email protected] (mailto:[email protected]) If you use auto-responders (like out-of-the-office messages), make sure that they are not sent to the list nor to individual members.
