High,

I installed Miniconda3 and then issued

conda config --add channels conda-forge
conda create -n sage sage python=3.8.5
conda activate sage

and now " sage --version" tells me

SageMath version 9.2, Release Date: 2020-10-24
hackekc6@dlp762 R --version
R version 4.0.3 (2020-10-10) -- "Bunny-Wunnies Freak Out"

I have asked the user originally requesting a new version of sage to test.

But I don't understand why the precompiled binary seems to work
and I am not able to compile the source myself.

Regards, Klaus Hackenberg
