Do *not* install the gcc-4.2.1.spkg since it is not required and will cause trouble on an x86_64 platform since the wrong libstdc++.so ends up in LD_LIBRARY_PATH. This is fixable, but for you it is likely to be faster if you install from sources in a new directory. Do you really need all of the above spkgs? It is likely that the openssl.spkg might also interfere with the _md5 module. You do not need to install it either. > I downloaded the source fromhttp://sagemath.org/dist/src/sage-3.0.2.tar > and compiled it. > I simply tried to run sage after the application installation and the > package installation. Thanks! Well, next time you should provide a link to the compressed version of install.log from $SAGE_ROOT. Do *not* send it as an attachment to the list since there are more than 500 people here who are unlikely to be interested in your install.log Cheers, Michael --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ To post to this group, send email to sage-support@googlegroups.com To unsubscribe from this group, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] For more options, visit this group at http://groups.google.com/group/sage-support URLs: http://www.sagemath.org -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
