I tested the formula transfer from OpenOffice 2.4 to MSWord 2003 and that surprisingly - and contradicting other posts - worked fine for a simple formula with an integral and a fraction. In OO you must check L and S under the menu Tools/Options/"Load/Save"/MicrosoftOffice/ Mathtype. (I just checked everything there.) Then I entered the formula and saved the document as MSWord 97/2000/XP type and opened it with MSWord2003. This reduces the problem as mentioned above to translate formulas from latex(sage-output) to genuine OO formulas (not pictures of it). But so far I have not yet found a solution for that. But I have not yet given up!
