Actually, there is: there is a noGlobal.js plugin that you can use to disable the global mode if you are using it in a context where global mode doesn't work. I don't know how sage loads jsMath, but if it is using the easy/load.js feature, then there is a setting there that controls global made. Otherwise, see the documentation at the bottom of http://www.math.union.edu/~dpvc/jsMath/authors/global.html for details about how to load the noGlobal plugin yourself.
