Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't. If you use the
standalone or alpha sites, it works just fine. Or, if you use your
own local version.
As far as the <ctrl><click> goes, there's no Sage functionality
involved there - doing that just provides an option to see html
source for a page, and I was wondering if that's what was happening
regarding your getting unrendered html stuff.
But I think sagenb itself might be the issue.

When you open a new cell (by letting the cursor hover over an
