I don't know, since I have never used SageTeX. But in the end, one
wants to be able to use Sage as a maths engine for Moodle, similar to
what WebWork is doing. To get a feel for what a Sage-Moodle
integration should be like, one needs to have some experience with
using/administering MapleTA.

Moodle can be difficult to set up because it usually requires a
separate installation of Apache, MySQL (or some database system), and
PHP. Compiling and installing these from source is difficult for
beginners, so I would recommend using your Linux distribution's
package system to install them.
