There is a concrete issue to which you want to provide a concrete answer. "yes |" approach instead agrees with everything the program may ask, perhaps in case of some errors which you really should attend to interactively, like deleting your old files because you are running out of space. I was also quite annoyed by this questions during SageMathCell installations.
