Didn't know about that. Instead, I used sha1sum, md5sum and cksum
manually.

The package seemingly DID install---there was no error reported.

However, Sage is still using the old version.

Potential reason (?): I had to rename the folder SQLAlchemy-0.9.4 into
sqlalchemy-0.9.4. Otherwise, the source folder has not been found by
spkg-install. And when unpacking sqlalchemy-0.5.8.tar.bz2, the folder
name was sqlalchemy-0.5.8---that's why I thought renaming the folder
would be the right thing to do.
