It could follow in the same spirit as our new terms of service
agreement---before any computation, the user must authenticate somehow
(which may be as simple as knowing a shared global passphrase of some
kind, to provide minimal security).
We'd welcome a pull request to add this as an optional feature.
However, my focus right now is on continuing hardening the existing
setup and making it more scalable, as well as exploring more things we
can do to make interacts and widgets better [1]. (We'd welcome help in
these areas too, of course!)

[1] For example, one update by Ira Hanson that I'll push out in a few
days adds bookmarks to interacts, so you can save and recall specific
settings of the controls.
