To be clear: we could do this in very short time, if there was interest.
My deployment strategy these days is to run a script which constructs
a KVM disk image from scratch (including installing and configuring
CentOS---thanks again for your help, Volker). The KVM image
automatically runs the server on bootup, so I just clone it a bunch of
times and boot it up.
