Just to understand you better and not judging you: why is it a "real
killer"? Why does it matter if Sage takes a few hours to build from scratch?
I believe (but I welcome other opinions) that, if this new ATLAS is
better in other respects, the ATLAS build time doesn't really matter.
Note that the build time of the Sage library does matter, since it
regularly needs to be rebuilt as part of Sage development. This is not
the case for ATLAS (unless you are developing ATLAS of course).
