As the patchbot already reacts when new patches are added to a ticket, would it be possible to ask it to "just check" that the new patch is correct, and either to have a special color for that or even to post a message on the trac ticket saying that the ... should be changed ? Or should it run this test when the ticket is set to positive_review only ? It does not have to wait a long time, as it does when it actually tests a ticket. Just running that sed script and checking that no line of the patch is affected would be enough. I do not know how the patchbot works and if anybody can touch its code, but I can give it a try if you want.
