I would have thought they would not be too interested. The cost to try to fight one project in one department where the domain was allowed to elapse is unlikely to be seen as high priority. That's just my opinion, but given the fees laywers charge, most companies will avoid using them unless really necessary. Annoying as it might be, I can't see this being high on their list of priorities.
