I was not aware that the COPYING was missing in version 2.4.13. Is it really legally possible to understand the words "under the terms of the GNU General Public Licences" as "you may choose what version of GPL you like"? However, COPYING there in 2.2.4, and explains: The C Meat-Axe is free software: you can redistribute it and/or modify it under the terms of the GNU General Public License as published by the Free Software Foundation, either version 2 of the License, or (at your option) any later version. whereas in 2.2.3 it just gives GPL 2. Anyway. I did try 2.4.13 at some point, but the linear algebra wasn't faster than in 2.2.4. Even if using 2.4.13 was possible, I'd still tend to stay with 2.2.4, since it would be a considerable amount of work to port all my changes and additions from 2.2.4 to 2.4.13: Virtually all frequently used function names have changed.
