Sage is a free software, am I right. I thought that all GPLs are for free software and that all of them do guarantee freedom to use and modify the software. If that is true, then why do you have to stick with GPLv2 only code? Oh, and by the way, is it possible to distribute one part of a program under GPLv2 and the other part - under GPlv3? Or do you have to distribute everything under GPLv3 if it contains some parts released under GPLv3? And how does it affect Sage's development?
