The motd was not in bash syntax, so I didn't understand what it meant.
In bash the 2nd line would read

    source /usr/local/gcc-4.4.1-sun-linker/gcc441sun

well, is there a unix command "ppl"? I wrote "ppl" meaning
"people" :-)
