William, Marshall, Have you tried recompiling the Virtualbox kernel headers?
$ sudo /etc/init.d/vboxdrv setup It also reloads the kernel module. I suppose that reasonably you should not have to do this immediately after an install but perhaps the install misses something subtle about the configuration. Regards, Bill Page.
